  • stupid pigs

  • why can they just call or put a note on the possible suspect's door saying you have a warrant! .. it would be much easier.... last time a us marine died because of this, he thought they were breaking into his house and the marine had a shotgun and search and died.. so sad.

  • Cops are our enemies now. The storm troopers against the free public. Public -- arm yourselves!

  • this is a world wide warning from riffraff2010,you who are not allianced or a member of the authoritive rule will hear heavy vehicles in your streets one night at about 2am,black clad automatic weapons caryying troops will start emptying houses of residents, the old and infirmed will be executed on the spot, those who resist will also be executed, the others will be loaded onto trucks.you will hear over a pa system"this is the new world order police, you are all now slaves,comply".riffraff2010 out

  • glad it happened to the mayor if it had to happen to someone. He has the resources to fight this and make it more well known.

This sort of thing happens to poor people who cant do anything about it all the time.

  • SWAT teams, the militarization of police... Fuckin' useless, where's America's balls? We're supposed to be the ones with the guns!

  • this is pretty bad people, its nothin compared to the other raids this was just a normal raid shoot anything that moves is how they see it

  • the mayor is a pot head, cool!

  • These cops should be fired

  • Swat should never be called in for a box of weed, it's not worth it. But as is always the case, these (little boys) can't wait to dress up in all that gear and feel really big and important so they can talk about it to everyone. What's so sad about this is these cops are so blinded by their orders, they can't see what they're doing goes against what this country is all about. They might as well go piss on the graves of all people who died for this country! F**KING NAZIS!!!

  • Yeah Cryus255, it was a typo. I do this posting with an iPod. My excuse. Lol. If the whole subject of drugs in America was up and up an accidental deal like thus could be overlooked but the way it reall is.... It's not!

  • What the fuck? I hope the mayor fired the police chief the next day

  • What would you say if two people died instead of dogs? You wouldn't really pay that much attention. Why is that? Why is it that a person's life is now less valuable than an animals life? Because of you! Because if a fucking animal dies lets stop what we're doing and cry! Like when that lady tried to ship the dog in a box but the box had no air holes. Everyone freaked out and everyone wanted to adopt the dog. If a boy was sold into slavery no one would want to adopt him. FUCK YOU AND FUCK PETA!

  • This is the kind of shit that going to come to a head. And it's intentional to bring out those that comment. So they can make a list.

Like me and Like you that hit SEND. Most of the time I have to hit "select all" and X.

I enlisted in the Army in 1870 to defend this country. That includes from within as well. When I left that pledge was restated.

  • @TheBelldiver Wow. Enlisted in 1870, eh? Right after that civil war thing, huh.

I know, I know. Probably a typo. Still funny to see that said so casually.

As for the story...my guess is this mayor was probably targeted because of some political issues.

  • he's the mayor, doesn't he request the swat teams to do whatever?

  • @derekjtg no, that would be the police chief.

  • @alapoet wouldn't the police chief have to ask for his permission first though?

  • @derekjtg Not if they felt he was connected, which i bet is the case..

  • @derekjtg No, just because he is the mayor doesn't mean he can do anything he wants.

  • i hope this opened the eyes of you middle class and rich folk that think it wont happen to you cuase your white and live in a nice house

  • Welcome to the United Police States of America.

  • His tan line ends on the top of his forehead. LMFAO. Fake tan, bleach. LMFAO!

  • I don't want to see this happen at all! A dog can be subdued a lot easier for everyone a lot of other ways.

This is appalling, and for POT?!?! Cops can't handle it right, 70 years of crap like this shows me that. And the cartels and drug lords certainly must love that pot is illegal. It's just a stupid waste of money to keep it illegal.

I never met a mean pothead, but I've met a lot of mean drunks, and I used to work in College town bars, so I like to think I know.

  • @tftmc TAX PAYERS MONEY AT WORK POLICE ARE SUCH GOOD INVESTIGATORS

  • Disgusting.

  • The event gained national and international media attention. While the Calvos were cleared of wrongdoing, the police were accused by the Calvos and civil rights groups of lacking a proper search warrant, excessive force, and failure to conduct a proper background investigation of the home being raided. Despite the criticisms, no action has been taken against the officers or their respective police departments. In August 2010, Sheriff Jackson stated, “we'd do it again. Tonight.”

  • that mayor is heartless he didnt even cry once

  • they DECLAIRED THEM INNOCENT 2 WEEKS LATER.....WHAT HAPPENED TO PROVE THEM GUILTY ? ! IF IT WAS YOU OR ME,...WE'D BE IN JAIL FOR A YEAR TILL A TRIAL WAS SET. LOVE THAT DRUG WAR !!

  • COPS TO PRISON WHERE THEY BELONG !

  • This mayor will surely get re-elected. All the marijuana users will be pleased to know their pot will be safer if this guy gets his way.

  • @kevman77 So your among the few that think this war on American citizens, has made this country better ? You think its worth all the innocent children, pets, adults, ..LOVING AMERICAN FAMILIES,MURDER BY POLICE, ....THATS HOW YOU SEE IT ?

  • cops need to stop playing video games, and dressing up like fucking stormtroopers

  • what brave soles, murdering the family pets, what part of their oath permits dog murder.

  • @blizzbcw Yay for Cerebus!

  • Comment removed

  • OK did he not just say the box DID have drugs in it?

  • @TheArmouredSoldier Yes, but they were sent by someone else as part of a smuggling scheme where an accomplice would pick them up from the front porch.

  • @alapoet

thanks for the fast reply, i thought so, it was just the way he said it...

  • Killing pigs should die

  • These fucks are a lawless gang of criminals that should be thrown naked into pits of ravenous dogs. Get eaten by your victims you fucks.

  • The cops will get away with murdering the pets and making a huge mistake.

    They always do.

  • Wow this is when they should look at marijuana differently...They took that to the extreem now...Legalize that shit so then animals will not be harmed...Yo thats some real bullshit...like honestly animal cruelty...and the swat team wont get shit...but if we kill/ hurt an animal we get fucked for it... Legalize!

  • Watch The Largest Street Gang in America and watch how the police are above the law. You know what the problem is? It's not this, it's that we allow them to do this.

  • This happened again just 3 days ago! May 3rd!

    /watch?v=RbwSwvUaRqc

  • KILL THE PIGS NOT THE DOGS

  • Not compromise the investigation?

Looks like there was no investigation at all!!

  • Cops are retarded.

I've only met about 10% of them that actually respect their job. The rest abuse their power and simply embarrass our country.

  • this mayor seems pretty calm about the whole thing..Id be fucking wanting scalps

  • @TheCoolestfilms He's a politician though, he knows better. If he was asking for scalps, he'd get no where, and his voting public would likely turn from him.

  • @TheCoolestfilms - If he weren't the Mayer, I'm sure a couple cops would die.

  • sad thing is the police gets away without having to do anything....

  • i dont care whos wrong... shooting a fucking dog? this world is fucked up really idc who did it i hope they die in a horrible death

  • i would sue the fuck outta the police department

you don't understand his position and leverage on the police department by this whole issue

fuck those police officers and i hope they get sued for everything they own

  • It makes me sick that these are the people who should be protecting and serving US! We pay these people and then they break THE CONSTITUTION. These cold blooded "DEA" agents have been brainwashed by their training academies into believing what is right, opposed to making these decisions for themselves. This really infuriates me and leads me to question the very integrity of our government in respects to protecting US the people. Let karma roll on.

  • yes because the police shot at the dogs for no reason at all fucking retard o bet his wife wanted those drugs

  • I like how he slipped in "which did have drugs in it...so anyways, the dog, presumably ran into the back before being shot, yeahhh..."

  • good God

    it's marijuanna, it's a fucking plant

i never seen a country with so many laws

    corrupt republic

  • shoot them for tresspassin

    your american right

  • trigger happy pigs killin dogs...

  • To bad the cops were found not guilty today as per a TYPICAL internal affairs investigation. I would expect this type of police abuse in backwards states like Florida and Texas but never in Maryland.

They want there wanting to kill and the harmless dogs were easy targets.

  • How can two dogs be dead, innocent people arrestd.....AND the cops be found not guilty.

That is bullshit cause someone is sure the hell guilty of something!

  • Trying to make it sound bad?! Holy fuck asshole, what would have to happen before you would consider it "bad".

So they were barking so that justifies killing them? Of course they were barking, a bunch of assholes broke into their home for no reason.

Fuck these cops. I hope that mayor burries their asses.

I bet you'd feel differently if I dropped a package off at your house and 2 hours later some cops came busting in like a bunch of assholes, and shot your dog.

  • lol swat train to shot dogs

  • "Measure twice, cut once."

It works well in carpentry, I would think it has application in police investigations.

  • They measure and cut as needed... measure the facts, cut them out of the picture, and throw away the evidence. Its predigesting the facts for the media, which predigests those facts for the public to see.

-see: Murder of Madam Palfrey, 2007 If we had a free press, there would be investigative journalism looking at inconsistencies into police investigations. Investigative journalism has been replaced with the TelePrompTer and entertainment news.

  • HE HAS POT, KILL HIS DOGS

  • The drug war FAILED... legalize all drugs!

  • someone better start looking for a new job....stupid ass cops!!

  • looks young to be a mayor must be one small rural town err...

  • def not a small rural town lol. i live like right near by. PG or prince george's is a kinda bad place to be (certain areas of the county)

  • checked on wiki looks even more rural than i thought it would be LOL

  • Your drug war dollars at work.

Authoritarian cops who watch too much Saturday night TV on Fox.

  • Dude! . . .you wanted Marion Barry's house!

Got what he deserved . . he fit a profile

  • The dogs had reefer madness, it can be contracted from contact high(second hand smoke).

  • wait... he said the box had drugs in it... ??? why did that statement just go unquestioned? what drugs? were they illegal?

  • thats nice but we don't care

  • They ran after the little dog to shoot him?!? The older dog was shot where he lay?!? Punk assed bitches!

Someone needs to take away their ammo, and let them have one bullet to keep in their shirt pocket!!!

I'd be real interested to see what the FBI turns up on this.

  • SWAT team fucked up

  • Search and kill Swat members

  • Welcome to Clinton's Amerikka.

  • I'm totally for the police and law & order, but this kind of stuff is just unacceptable. I'd be ashamed to be involved with a law enforcement agency like that.

  • same. I've had no problems with police and law and order. But damn what they did was wrong, what made it even worse was that instead of saying 'Ok, sorry we fucked up' they refused responsiblity and blamed it on the dogs :|

  • go and cry in a pillow.

  • No, U. :D

  • ok termo

  • okay, the package did have drugs in it, I guess they should call and ask if it is and schedule an appointment to come and make an arrest. get the feeling somebody is up to his eyeballs in it and is worried

  • cops love killing peoples loved pets it makes them feal like men, it makes up for there dad beating them there wife cheating on them and there older brother raping them

  • sure man whatever you say

  • ... a pot raid?

    Seriously?

  • fucking loser

  • fucking loser x 2

  • fuck u

  • So I fully understand this mayor sells tabbaco and alcohol in his district while cannabis users get arrested for racism.

This Mayor couldn't give a crap about all the other people and dogs that were killed in the exact same way while he happily sold his alcohol and tabbaco in his district.

Now that he had to go through a procedure that cannabis users have been going through for 80 years he's upset now?

You should have spoke up before your dogs were shot not after.

    How self absorbed are you?

  • It must also hurt to know that police claim "there are no accidents in this world every accident could have been avoided."

To watch police kill your dogs then claim "There are no accidents" must hurt beyond beleive.

By their own admission they killed your dogs on purpose. They cannot deny it using their logic.

The police showed up at your door to arrest you for racism and you act mad about your dogs? Grow up.

I never seen you complain about the dead grandmothers before so why start now?

  • When your past presidents Bush, Bush and Clinton have been called out by former air force pilots as cocaine dealers why would you ever try and lock cannabis users in a cage?

How is cocaine any safer than cannabis for sale?

To set the record straight nothing was "botched" in this raid. You went through what other people go through just because they do not like alcohol.

To claim this is not an everyday situation is beyond retarded.

Racism is never honest and you found that out the hard way.

  • Why do the police even need guns when dealing with cannabis?

Every study shows that cannabis grows are less likely to catch fire than the average house.

They also proved that grow ops contain less guns and weapons than the average home.

Government reports show that it's safer to have a grow op next door than a law bidding neighbor.

But why let facts, data and morals get in the way of these racists when they are killing dogs for barking.

Bush locking up drug users ... good one!

  • When the government admits that grow ops are safer than the average home why would they arrest people for just holding 30 pounds of it?

They also admit cannabis is safer than alcohol, tabbaco and caffeine.

Must hurt to know your dogs were killed by the oil man.

Your dogs died you do the research!

I'm still going to be smoking cannabis tomorrow will you be playing with your dogs?

Must hurt to know your dogs died for NOTHING!

At least they had the self control to not shoot your mom.

  • In February of 2007, an off-duty officer from this same police department (Cpl. Keith Washington)got into an argument with two men who were delivering furniture to his home. Officer Washington ended up shooting both delivery men ( who were unarmed ). The men Robert White and Brandon Clark were both severly wounded with Clark later dying.

Prince George's County Police Chief Melvin C. High defended the shootings. When the case went to court, Washington was sentenced to 45 years in prison.

  • Police kill dogs in raids all the time.

I assume they do it to at least have some cannabis related deaths to show the public.

Even if they kill every dog they see though it will never stack up to the pile of alcohol and tabbaco related bodies.

It's 2008 why are we arresting people and killing pets for racism?

Or are we still pretending while your passed out alcohol. I'm the criminal for smoking a joint?

Add -2 to the cannabis deaths please.

Cannabis users would like an accurate count.

  • The Mayor wanted to know why couldn't the head of police just come over and ask him.

I want to know why you deserve special treatment? If "Somebody" sent a package to me the same way wouldn't my dogs be shot in the back also?

Why just because your a Mayor do you not want to go through the same procedures as the rest of us?

    Can you please explain why?

What did you not like about the way it was handled?

You do realize 90 year old grandmothers have been killed the same way.

    Your mom lived.

  • all this over pot?...

  • whats the news? that it happened to a mayor? this happens every day. with the war on drugs almost won for good how can we be mad at cops who obviously are working for our best interests? god bless the dea, fuck that godless liberal constitution...this is a matter of our childrens safety from hippies and mexicans. but dont fret, as soon as we have exterminated pot the cops will stop shitting on freedom and liberty. oh wait, there is always terrorism. i guess freedom is going on haitus.

  • Fucking pigs where I live kicked in my kids door looking for his roommate. Dragged my kid to jail in nothing but boxershorts. Denied him attorney, denied him a phone call. Only found an 1/8 of pot. Released him, still without a phone call, in just his boxers. No shoes, no nothing. He lives across town from the jail. 6 months later I pulled jury duty on an unrelated case involving same cops, same States attorney. That defendant walked away, fuck me and mine and we fuck back......

  • did the Mayor say there were drugs in the box?!! WTF!? they pronounced him innocent!? ppl need to be mad that this mayor got off the hook, because his dogs got shot,.. you or I would be in prison, without our dogs!!

  • The pot didn't belong to the mayor, The dealers were sending it to random addresses and then having someone watch for the fed-ex truck to go grab the box. Those chickenshit cops chased the one dog down to shot it, it was running away. It's time that all persons in a public service job start being held accountable for the shit they pull. Whether it be a botched raid, or accepting bribes, I'm sick of people who are supposed to work for us screwing us over.

  • hahaha this is just the start. what a concidence, the mayor of the city? jesus christ this is a joke.

  • Nihilism is not freedom. If you and you alone don't change it, no one else will. There appear to be a lot of people who think that law enforcement should not be held accountable. Of course, that's only a natural outcome of certain cognitive biases inculcated in most of you from your youth. Safety and freedom are in no way to be found in government or in law enforcement. A reliance upon government agencies is to admit to a reliance upon - and the promotion of - open tyranny.

  • 32 pounds! Really? How big was that box? Did the FED Ex guy use a hand truck to get it to the door?

I don't buy it. One more lie out of many. This case stinks and none to kind. The War on Drugs corrupts everyone.

  • Fucking pigs!

  • Welcome to NAZI Germany. Martial law is here!

  • Er, I was responding to johnq54...

  • They way you carry on, you must be under the impression that if we get rid of SWAT units or cops in general, then wrongful violence against Americans just disappears. That is foolish thinking. Being realistic, there is a substantial portion of our population that is BRAZENLY VIOLENT and those violent people target other Americans.

Hostage crisises, active shooters, barricaded suspects...this is what violent people do and SWAT handles those situations.

  • Also, because you seem to blatantly ignore the fact as I have pointed out to you, no such language in the original text of the Constitution prohibited military/police interaction. PCA was enacted nearly a hundred years after the Constitution's ratification, after the Civil War.

I'm not naive to think that police are immune to fucking up, they aren't. Then again so are other professions. Docters malpractice, politicians are seedy, teachers sleeping with students, the list goes on.

  • It's clearly obvious to me that both of you are the ones missing the point. The military doesn't incarcerate American citizens. It does not provide law enforcement to this country. Cross-training and support happen between police and military because one can learn valuable knowledge from the other.

As I have stated before, SWAT teams are units of special circumstance. They fill a need in police depts. just like CSI, detectives or highway patrol.

  • dont you love how american news stations always side with the government even if its painfully obvious their wrong... they make it seem like "well at least were safer and we know there doing their job" BS they are commiting crimes and getting away with it when will we stand up to them!

  • wrb1957 thank you for sharing that info I was not aware of that... these liars must be stopped down with the NWO!

    poor guy...86 mans best friend.

  • 40,000 home invasions by SWAT teams in American last year. More than 300 innocent Americans are dead or severely injured. This now happens every year. Additional thousands of innocent Americans had their lives disrupted, their properties, reputations and livelihoods destroyed. This alone violates any tenet of liberty or of freedom. Those hundreds and those thousands were, are and remain innocent. At the very least, those numbers smack of massive incompetence...or of the worst of tyrannies.

  • So...why is the military providing training, support and equipment to civilian police departments? Is this not a BLATANT attempt to by-pass the original intent of the Constitution and of the Acts of the law I mentioned previously? Are American citizens so brazenly violent that we need to incarcerate more people per capita than any two communist or socialist nations on earth? If you claim to support freedom, you can in no way justify what SWAT teams around American are doing.

  • Onerottentomato..."They were not 'druggies', you idiot. You didn't bother to watch the video, did you?"

Yes, I did watch the video, and the Mayor ADMITS there WAS drugs in the package addressed to his wife. He took the dope into the house. Maybe you should watch the video again, and this time turn on the sound.

  • They found him innocent! Did you miss that?

He was stating a fact, you dope! He never once opened the box. It was until after the botched bust he found out what was in the box. They don't know who sent them the package! They were a random target of drug dealers. Just because you receive an unknown box with your name on it makes you an automatic druggie. Rewatch the video, retard.

  • They haven't gone to trial. He took a box of dope inside his house, the sheriff's were within their mandate to search his home. He can claim after the fact that he didn't know what was in the box, but it was still loaded with dope. So just because he says he doesn't know what's in the box the cops should just let it slide, huh?

  • No you idiot, they should knock on the door and go from there. Do you really think they should bash down the door and start shooting Labs? Labs???? For god's sake, get your head out of your ass. They should do their frickin homework and use some common sense.

  • Take it up with the supreme court if you don't like no-knock warrants. This package full of dope was addressed to the residents, and the resident picked it up and took it inside. That's probable cause any way you turn it.

  • No. Genjiii83, you swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. (BTDT. Sgt of Marines, 1976-1983) Plus, there's the Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act. Militarizing the police force is a legal and Constitutional no-no.

  • This just goes to show what I've always been an observation of mine. Some jurisdictions just have no idea how to use their SWAT team. This usually goes for the smaller PDs. LAPD, Dallas, San Antonio and NYPD know how to properly utilize such force. Just because you give your best marksmen some tac gear and upgraded weaponry doesn't mean you should send knockin down everyone's door.

  • Problem is, some 40,000 doors in America get knocked down by SWAT teams each and every year. 300 innocent Americans are killed or severely injured by SWAT teams in America each year. Most of those SWAT team 'no-knock' warrants are for simple bench warrants and for non-violent offenders. These are not just small town cops who are involved. This is happening in your state, in your city, in your town, in your neighborhood.

  • I live in FT. Benning, so no it doesn't happen that much here. Ultimately, SWAT is under the command of the administration they report to. Even if SWAT thinks their presence is unnecessary, they may be sent in anyway, over their objections.

America is a country with a pop. of 300 million+. I wouldn't doubt SWAT teams are called hundreds of thousands of times a year and have accidents somewhere along the line. Chances are costly mistakes are bound to happen. That's the nature of copwork.

  • so...just ignore The Constitution? Ignore the law. Cops can do whatever they want because sh*t happens? You're kidding me, right? ...or have you ever read The Constitution, let alone understood that it said what it meant and meant what it said?

  • I said "mistakes" happen, I didn't say they were intentional. You call SWAT mutiple times, there's bound to be screw ups. And no, cops can't do whatever they feel, there is accountability for their actions, by the citizenry who puts their faith and confidence in them.

Yes, I have read the Constitution. Get this, I've also sworn when I enlisted to defend it and my country. So how about you go pound sand before your question my patriotism and loyalty.

  • BTW, Gnenji, I wasn't questioning your patriotism or even your 'loyalty.' That was never even inferred. I was, however, questioning your knowledge and your integrity. (read: intellectual honesty.) If you are, indeed, loyal to the Constitution and to your oath, you will find that my points are accurate and cannot be rationally or hoestly refuted.

  • Posse Comitatus doesn't allow the military to DIRECTLY engage in law enforcement activity, i.e. patrol and perform arrest. Training between military and police is fine and the NG(unless federalized)and USCG are exempt from the acts provisions.

And I do know what my enlisted oath said and implied. I'm no cop, I'm a Soldier. Domestic issues isn't my mission unless the CinC and Congress say so.

  • Police are not military. They never will be. But situations they face have commonality with what the military does, hence SWAT. The use of SWAT in this instance was boneheaded, uncoordinated(this involved multiple agencies), and just plain stupid.

I don't agree with what happened here, but kills is that this happens in minority neighboorhoods more often, but bleeding hearts only take offense when Mr. Perfect gets thrown to the ground.

  • Militarizing the civilian police force is a Constitutional no-no, there, soldier. Thus, their use of military equipment and tactics against American citizens is prohibited by the Constitution and by law. The very existence of SWAT teams is against the oath that you swore. Wherever it happens, poor, middle-class or wealthy neighborhoods, such activity is against the Constitution, and thus, against the law.

  • No, my interpretation was correct. No such language exist in the original text of the Constitution prohibiting federal troops from conducting domestic matters. The Posse Comitatus Act was enacted AFTER the adoption of the Constitution.

SWAT IS NOT unconstitutional. If so, their existence wouldv'e been disbanded long ago. SWAT exist because of special circumstance, situations that regualar officers can't handle.

  • Also, the equipment used by SWAT is not unique to the military or it's missions. Barring tanks and fighter jets, myself, you or anyone who knows how can get their hands on rifles, body armor, NVG's, etc. Civilian courses also teach military tactics.

Going back to the point, you need to read the law again. PCA ALLOWS the military to provide technical assistance, support and training to police forces. It PROHIBITS DIRECT PARTICIPATION(searches, seizure, arrests, etc.)by federal troops.

  • No, military equipment and soldiers are not barred from assisting law enforcement any more.

  • Posse Comitatus doesn't exist anymore, Bush abolished it by executive order. Military can operate to back-up police any time they are asked to assist.

  • Bush cannot abolish a federal law because he sees fit and no such executive order exists. You're just spreading propaganda and lies. Military "back-up" police by providing technical assistance and support, not troops to engage in direct activities.

  • Regardless of your rant, there is still no such thing as posse comitatus anymore, if it ever really existed anyway.

  • Title 18 United States Code 1385: the Posse Comitatus Act. Still on the books and in effect to this day. So there's your "rant".

  • Posse Comitatus was SUSPENDED by George Bush. Google is your friend.

  • A lot of people kinda missed the point, it would seem. Ignoring the facts, in other words. The cops initiated an illegal search and seizure. A violation of the fourth amendment. They knew where the package originated and knew the MO of the perps in such identity thefts. The cops then delivered said package to the Mayor's home, knowing beforehand that the mayor and his family were innocent. No warrant of any kind was presented until three days afterwards. This happens every day in America.

  • he was upstairs changeing, how does he know the dogs didnt engage?

  • Gee, I don't know... Maybe because the mother-in-law confirmed it.

  • Wow, another "intelligent individual" who didn't watch the video.

  • I do feel bad for the dogs though, but not the officer's faults. Maybe the point is not to let druggies have dogs.

  • They were not 'druggies', you idiot. You didn't bother to watch the video, did you?

  • He's full of shit, the box was addressed to his wife and was full of drugs. The two dogs are large black labs and went after the officers coming in the front door, that's why they shot right away. The mayor just wants to cut a deal and get his wife off the dope charges.

  • Are you not paying attention, or are you just stupid?

One of the dogs was lying down when it was shot. The other was shot as it was running away.

How, exactly, is that "going after the officers"? Or maybe the cops are always right in your Nazi reality?

  • The officers who shot the dogs should be fired from the force and fined with animal cruelty. They are not Psychologically stable and should not be in a position of power. Anyone who shoots a dog that is laying down and a puppy that is running away is a sick individual. There are too many unstable police officers running around making the job harder for the police officers that do a good job. Police departments need to screen applicants better and censor the officers they already have.

  • I would think that chasing down that dog that ran away to shoot it would qualify as premeditated animal cruelty. Shouldn't the cops be on trial for that? What if they would have accidently shot a little kid with their trigger happy asses? Marijuana should be decriminalized anyway. No person has ever died from marijuana. It doesn't turn people into criminals. It is a plant for gods sake. Wake up Washington, before this becomes the norm for the US citizen.

  • so many people only smoke pot and don't move onto more dangerous and addictive drugs; don't spread false information. it depends on the mind of the person, not on the drug.

  • If marijuana is a gateway drug, it's because it's illegal. If the same people who sold beer sold crystal meth, beer would be a gateway drug.

  • voltrabbit7 - no cops are NOT role models, and they never should be role models. They are hired thugs that are supposed to maintain public safety and enforce the law. They do NEITHER, but are instead often criminals themselves.

I have never once actually witnessed a cop helping anyone for any reasons. The only good thing they do do is arrest a drunk driver occasionally.

  • I don't understand how the cops had days to set up this STING and not know anything about this family. They didn't even do enough investigation to discover he was the MAYOR with no criminal background!!! Plus when a dog is running away from you it is not posing a threat. I could understand if the dogs were PITBULLS, but they were BLACK LABS. To top it all off from what I understand the SEARCH WARRANT was not signed by a judge. Police need to stop using their authority as a right to BULLY people.

  • As much as it sucks that these incompetent assholes shot those poor dogs, this IS a good thing. According to one source there are 40,000 of these paramilitary raids per year in America, and most people who get raided aren't connected enough to get a federal investigation. It's too bad, because excessive use of force and sloppy police work is typical in these raids. Soccer moms who want to keep weed away from their kids need to know that someone's family dog occasionally gets killed this way.

  • This is why we should use their incompetence and power trips against them. If all it takes is to mail pot to a location and tip off the police to create a botched raid, start mailing pot (or their seeds) to every polititions' homes. Then they'll finally get the message just how wasteful and deadly this stupid war on a natural plant is.

  • You are 55 years old and you still think this way. You are a worthless piece of shit and I hope the next pot delivery is at your home. ASSHOLE!!
