I have a personal recording of Makoto Ozone at the Aquinas College Jazz Festival from about 27 years ago. Front row, just a few feet away, it was all very informal. I didn't know we were going to get such a high caliber performance, it being a college festival. He mesmerized me then, and I get just as much pleasure now!

I saw these two do a free concert of this music at the art museum in Philadelphia. It was one of the top 3 best concerts I have EVER seen!

I saw these two live about 6 months ago and it was amazing. Makoto is the best jazz pianist I have ever seen. Burton's solos are so original and complex. AND they are nice guys!

Makoto reminds me of Chick Corea in his ability to improv outside of the changes in an almost classical style. It's is one of the things that I'm working on.

Beautiful. These two are amazing. I love Makoto Ozone as I am a Jazz Pianist myself. However, have lots of recordings of Mr Burton. Lovely solos..
