  • Anyone else got the collecters edition for gamecube?

  • @cookielolrofl I did! :)

  • I hope zelda HD is a direct sequal to Majora's mask, I mean for f**cks sake did Link ever find Navi?

  • 09:17 still sends shivers down my spine.

  • second best game iv ever played but da first would be ocarina of timei lov them both

  • The Mask Sailsman is really creppy. He's as creppy as Freeky Fred the phyco barbor from Courage The Cowardly Dog.

  • This is the sequal to Ocarina of Time. Its Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and then Twilight Princess. Based on the storyline.

  • @777Rowen No Wind Waker come's after Twilight Princess based on the story line;p in wind waker hyrule is already under water in twilight not yet

  • @SuperShogun64 Oh ok, I don't think those games are linked. Twilight Princess was very diffrent yet it reminds me of Oot, WW, and ALTTP. The Wind Waker revolves around the new hero, and the hero of tie. Twilight Princesss, only metions it a little bit. But either way Zelda games are freekn awsome. :) So do u have Skyward Sword?

  • @777Rowen Noo I dont, I played almost every zelda game but not skyward sword yet, I dont hava a Wii. But I'm gonna buy one soon. what about you?

  • @SuperShogun64 Nope not yet, but i will soon.

  • @SuperShogun64 Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are on two totally different timelines. /./zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Split_Timeline_Theory

  • I dont care :(

  • @Brainee1

Nintendo also actually released the real timeline instead of running off theories. Just do a Google search, and you should be able to find it on Kotaku

  • @SuperShogun64

    Actually..

According to Nintendo's official timeline, Wind Waker is after the successful sealing of Ganon as adult Link, as he then broke free and Hyrule was flooded.

Twilight Princess was part of the child Link timeline. He went back through time, warned the people, and Ganon was executed.

  • @TrueShawnBW Yeah thanks but I already looked up the timeline a while ago so I understand

  • good video

  • I put stone tower temple music right up there with the Spirit Temple as best temple theme music of all Zelda :)

  • I can't Believe I used to bad mouth this game so much until I finally tried it at my cousin's house and I fell in love with it and became my favorite of them all.

  • ocarina of time + majora's mask = best games evar.

  • @TheArbiter10 =earthbound and ff6, then you got greatness. then mario 3 and then you got my 5 favorite games ever

  • GOD THIS GAME IS SO AMAZING I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN IT'S AMAZINGNESS.

  • On gamefaqs, there were 128 gamesnominated in something called "game of the decade". And this game got it! OOT got game of the century in many magazines and reveiws and so on. It looks like zelda games are getting too popular and badass! :)

  • Stupid nostalgia brings me to tear!

  • I never played Majora's Mask which is weird considering I'm a HUGE Zelda fan and I loved OoT. Plus a dark and weird storyline in a Zelda game? Sign me up. I'll have to get this on VC once I find the money for it. I love the darker tone to this one, just like I liked the dark tone to Twilight Princess.

  • I have been a fan of this project of yours since the beginning. I admire your dedication and the effort you have put on it. Kudos to you, garudoh, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't know a lot of great VGM.

That said, I believe this particular entry leaves to be desired. Valuable minutes on this video are dedicated to songs not originated on Majora's, either recycled from OoT or as a remix of Zelda's main theme.

Deku's Palace, Astral Observatory, Last Day...Surely there was no shortage on this!

  • the best part about the music in this game is that it genuinely gets under your skin. its a shame you didn't put in the music that plays 5 minutes before the moon hits. its a really sorrowful piece.

  • You shouldn't have done that...

  • Ganon made 5 accounts and disliked this video.

  • @Zylo587 Ganon's not in this game.

  • i loved ocarina for the dramatic story and majoras mask for its dark mysterious tone, i wish majoras mask is also released on 3ds but with more things to do and lots of extras ^_^

  • To be honest, I never liked Majora's Mask because of the 3 day timer, I did not play for more than a half an hour at a time...

Im just lazy, I need motivation to play it...

Odd thing is, clock town's theme is the song I hum almost the most out of every video game I have ever played. It is also one of my favorite zelda songs.

  • First time I played this game I gave up because I didn't get far enough to save the game - what a pity it would have been if I never picked it up again!

  • People, enough of the arguing of Ocarina of Time vs. Majora's Mask. They're both great games, and everyone has their preferred version, but I think we can all agree the best is "Link: The Faces of Evil" on CD-i!

  • @ledawg1138 lol,can we talk seriously now?

  • Too many monkeys in my oasis.

  • stone tower, great bay, and woodfall temples had best music in the game!

  • PERSONALLY I THOUGHT THIS BETTER THAN OCARINA OF TIME ( IREALLY DID) ! THE ONLY THING THIS GAME (AND PROLLY NO OTHER WILL "EVER" MATCH) IS THE "SPIRIT TEMPLE" !!! BEST MISSION EVER XD

  • the stone tower music always creeps me out

  • the best game of all time!!!

  • MM has to be my favorite TLOZ game of all time. The earie feeling you had when you first met the maskman, the Alice in Wonderland feeling, ah, good times.

  • Actually MM was better than OoT. Cool mask-feature, beetter sidequest like the most difficult one.

You know, the foxboy and the girl in the inn. Only my big brother could solve it. ah and there was that zombie-dad. ya know, he was in the cupboard and jump out of it. Damn I was really, really scared.

I was 6 at that time and were happy when I did the watertemple. ^^

But still I think OoT is better, i don't know why. o.o

  • wow nintendo 64 was my 1st ever game console and zelda was my 1st ever game :) still got it and i'm 17 now lol god it brings back good childhood memories x thank you so much x

  • Each game had its pros and cons. OoT was just flat out epic. MM just kept on surprising you with every little thing and had a more dramatic story, but was a bit irritating with its "3 Day" format. Of the two, MM was actually tougher, but required a player without a short attention span. OoT had muddier graphics due to all the pre rendered images and felt cheesy at times.

All in all, they are equal since their pros and cons balance each other out perfectly, making one complimant the other.

  • Nice vid, but except for Stone Tower and the four giants, the video lacks the obscure music of Majora's Mask. And Romani Ranch music and Zora's Hall were taken from Ocarina of Time.

  • you missed one very important song in this list: the song of healing.

    and the final hour....

    and majora's theme...

  • Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game.

It had the best music, the best story, and the greatest holy-crap factor. I've been finding new things in that game from the time I got it all the way up until now.

Though I admit, with Ocarina of Time as my first Zelda game ever, that one will still be very special.

But no one really needs to know the inner workings of my mind anyway.

  • man, this brings back memories, the zelda series will always have a place in my childhood memories.

  • God I loved this game

  • Memories :P

    (I'm 16 now)

I was 8 years old when i played it :)

    N64 / Zelda <3

  • N64 divided by Zelda is less than 3?

    ...You're right!

  • lol

  • Btw i like ur videos Vadraedan :P

  • @Grekos2

    Thanks!

I do my best to not bog down the server. I'm contributing by not contributing!

  • ROFLLLL!!!!!

  • good times when i was like 10 use to play this now im 12 by 2 years

  • Today I am a happy owner of this magnificent game that does not sell for one million

one of the best game I have played

  • Even if it did sell for one million I don't think I'd do it.

  • ALL Zelda games from Nintendo are the best games ever of the world no game is better Zelda is the most liked and most famous Game all over the world 4 erver

  • Your grammar and spelling on the other hand... not so famous...

Anyway, Personally, I actually prefer this music to that of OoT. Not sure why though...

  • A computer version of the nintendo 64 has become avalible with complete versions of every game that came out back in the day message me for the site or you can google Project64 i love it i play this and you can mod it as well make your own dungons and stuff but zelda is just one of the few things it has to offer as well as online game play with friends in multiplayer games granet it may have a few glitches in some games but its great brings back loads of memories for me

  • Why did you ignorant people 'thumbs down' creeparraid? It's true! Someone was modding Zelda and put it on PC with cleaned up graphics. Good grief.

  • Aonuma was involved in Ocarina of Time as well though.

Zelda II might have been made by someone different altogether.

  • Zelda 2 was directed by Shigeru

  • The best Zelda ever made.

  • good memories, love it,wait i can play it. i still have the legend of zelda collection :D

  • THE best game I've ever played!!!

  • @babybignose2012 Then you obviously haven't played The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

  • @jing2020

no Majora's Mask is better than Ocarina Of Time except the Spirit Temple was cool because you had to go there twice.

  • Awesome game, awesome music

  • Yay :D Giant's theme! Fav song in my fav game

  • The best Zelda IMO because it has a more mature story and not to mention the story is actually quite a bit different from the rest.

    Also rather challenging.

  • Lots of ppl call this the black sheep in the Zelda family but i say that this its an GEM. And yes Immortalweapon its true that this game was made in a very short time, i think it was just half a year after OOT.

  • The one that's considered the black Sheep most though is probably Zelda II

  • They made the game in something like one year, no lie. Shigeru Miyamoto wanted them to make an OOT with new dungeons within a year (presumably for the 64DD), and they so wanted to flat out make a new game (with some of the same assets) that this was what they wound up making within that year.

A rare beacon in the field of time-strapped video game efforts. E.T. for Atari should be so lucky!

  • I agree with both of you. A good few of the songs from this video were in the OoT one. The space could've been better spent by including the newer songs, like Ikana Canyon, and Great Bay Temple.

  • how to u get a the bow arrow in this game i have it 4 the nintendo 64 [yea i still have it]

  • this game is awesome but its too short. i mean it has everything: great music, great story, great enemies and leveldesign, but its way too short

  • if you knew the story behind the game, you'd understand why it was so short lol

  • so what is the story behind the game that makes it so short? that the moon is going to destroy the world in 3 days?

well that doesnt solve the problem of the game having not enough dungeons.

  • from what i remember being told, this game was made in an incredibly short amount of time, because someone wanted a new LoZ game out to piggy back the success of OoT, and if i remember right, they made this game in 8-12 months

  • well yeah that explains it, but doesnt change the fact that the game is too short, however kudos to make such an amazing game in such a short time oO

  • Cooooorrect!

  • 1 year and 7 to be exakt, and it wasn't incredibly short.

  • I really love this game, But Ocarina of Time is still in my heart but this game was fantastic :D

  • MM had some creepy commercials.

It had the most stylish and hardest bosses in the franchise too.

    Good work, bro.

  • Awesome as usual, Garudoh

  • I think this is probably the most underrated game in the franchise. And I also think that it's one of the hardest too, but a lot of fun things to do. And of course, the music is top notch.

  • Agreed, a lot of people overlook this unfortunately.

  • I really love this game! It's a shame that many people tend to underrate it. I still own the giant poster that came with it!

  • MM felt more like an expansion pack than a sequel, since they reuse a lot of charaters & renamed them, which seemed kinda lame. I played this on the gamecube Zelda anniversary edition or something, though due to its poor adaption to the gamecube for some reason, it made it almost impossible to play at certain points when it would lag like crazy, especially in the town square. But I have to say, that's one badass moon. You don't screw with a moon like that.

  • Love this Zelda, one of the best!

  • Still one of the best Zelda's I have played to date. Love the music, love the uber developed characters, love the temples, EVERYTHING. 5 Stars for such a worthy game mentioned.

  • awesome soundtrack. i still have never touched this Zelda game.

  • Ya, definitely go ahead and play it. Great game.

  • Pretty sweet music.

  • amazing soundtrack. it re-used some melodys from oot but also has lots of new original stuff.

  • yeah but oot reuses alot from alttp

  • The music at 8:00 reminds of of The Granstream Saga. Anyone know what it's called?

  • That would be the stone tower temple theme (while it is right side up).

  • Just a pointer though.

At the beginning, the mask dealer asks you to leave the tower to fetch the Majora's mask. If you leave the tower for the first time, get the ocarina, go back to that very moment in time, and talk to the mask dealer, he expects you to have the mask by then.

HOW DID HE KNOW YOU WENT BACK IN TIME?! IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ONLY SECONDS LATER TO HIM!

  • i know what you talking about and i think you're right but every gamer out there would say the same answer

    LOGIC IS FOR PUSSIES XD

  • True, but then again, time doesn't exist in the clock tower. Notice how the clock doesn't work in it, so maybe TIME IS FROZEN :O

  • Hmmmm, I think this story was really about the Mask Salesman. He held the key to these worlds, and the skull kid took that away.

Everything moves as normal, inside the tower...It either has to do with a production error, or something about the Mask Salesman...

  • LOL, it's probably a mess up that they did. But think about it :O

The other masks that the salesman has are like "time mask" LOL

  • YES!!!

This music has been such an inspiration!

  • Awesome game, needs to be on the VC!

  • i havent played this one all the way through.....

  • great game but I love Ocarina of Time more.
