  • definitly sex on legs, the song is good too

  • UNE DE MES CHANSONS PRéFéRéE DE DONNA SUMMER SUPERBE LIGNE MéLODIQUE SACCADéE ET MAGNIFIQUE ORCHESTRATION A QUAND LE CLIP REMASTéRISéE SAM LE MUSICAL & SENTIMENTAL

  • unfortunately these days when the day is through, you couldn't tell anyone about it; it has already been said on twitter, facebook, texting, etc!

  • The only wish I have in life is to be transported beack in the 80s , damn music was amazing and so emotional . Now I know why we don't get such track like these anymore , we will be crying non stop. That's ow good this track is.

  • Let's be honest..she was channeling Jody Watley to DEATH in this video!

  • One of the greatest singers of the last 100 years. I think after Phobbe Snow Judy Garland Donna is a cllose 3rd. She sings with ease. She is not over high and never over did like Mariah Carrey.seems to do on all of her songs!

  • What a Gal, Uhh !

  • is it just me ....donna summer does look a lot like kelly rowland....the resemblance is striking ...

  • @kwesigyamfi - She does. I read somewhere Kelly is suppose to play her in a film of her life story. But I've always said the same thing the resemblance is unbelievable.

  • @kwesigyamfi Yes, she does. Kelly has also used her vocals in a lot of recent dance music. Interesting parallel :)

  • I cant say in 2011 "wow just wow" becos im 37 years old which in 1987/88 a catchphrase just never existed.I was 14/15 and fancied the hell out of Donna and if i may in my old age just gotta say i hope in a cool trendy kinda way "Wow just WOW".

  • Heard this song on the radio the other day. Wow I haven't heard this song in decades. Man I miss 80's music.

  • @dreamyx01 You took the words right out of my mouth.

  • I used to love this song & video. Had such a crush on her...

  • First crush in the 70's , love this track.

  • I love the picasso pose

  • What I love most about the song is the fact that a woman sings about "true passions and careers" in life. Can you imagine ANYONE coming up this such a plot for a pop song in 2011? Most of what pop stars sing of today is often very derogatory and blatant sexual content with the videos leaving very little to the imagination.

Now that's a true legend for you!!!

  • My pops swore he would marry her one day! Nice try, old man. LOL

  • always thought this song was cool :)

  • What a woman!

  • SHE IS A DOLL!!! AND CAN SING TOO!!

i wanna get next to her!!!

    impossible i guess?!!

she was 39 yo when this vid was made?? really?? OMG!!

she looks better than most of the 20 yo's today!!

    what a bod!!!

    i luv u donna!!

  • @utoob90988 Donna is over 50 now and still looks very feminine and attactive!

  • @karelpostthuis Honey, she is 60. And why wouldn't she look feminine? LOL.

  • Such a talented woman, Donna Summer. The pipes on her! They try to lock her in the 'disco' corner but she's a 1st rate R&B/Pop vocalist. I also like the composer, Brenda Russell's version. : )

  • Loved this song to death back then.

  • My heart melts when I see this Princess singing! Amazing for ever!

    I love you Donna!

  • @JacquesZupp You're a moron. What is there to get upset over?

  • @JacquesZupp Why?

  • this is my mother BETTY A. PEAY BRITHDAY IS JAN. 3 JUST LIKE DONNA SUMMER

    WHO IS JAN. 1

  • GREAT song. Actually, one of Donna's best ever. And she looks simply amazing in the video. A truly CLASSIC artist.

  • Donna Summer é maravilhosa, fez exelentes trabalhos... esse clipe é nosta 10!

  • Ive always love this song i think its the break or Chorus.

  • What awful dancing....

  • @tonyttt31 - LOL. She's not the best dancer, but I love her for her singing. That's what she is: a singer.

  • I love this.. Her new stuff is just as good as her old stuff which I think is just a testement to her amazing ability to make people sing and dance! I'm so glad the "Queen Is Back" ^_^

  • Thank you so much for this ,its great I have never seen it, if you get a chance all Summer fans, check out my upload of the rare video of All Systems Go, it is like this just donna performing. great. I hope it wasnt removed.

  • QUALITY, nuff said.

  • Great song and arrangement. Great singer who had found her guiding light in God. So why all the vitriol about who sounds like who? Opinions people. Everyone has them. Doesn't mean they're right or wrong. Just means it's right for them. Don't get caught up if it ain't right for you. Sounds stupid but I bet there are a few folks who think Milli Vanilli was one of the greatest duos ever. Would it be worth an argue? Waste of time in my opinion. Of course some might feel differently.

  • I havent heard this tune for years, my local radio station played this Donna Summer tune this morning, Great track..

  • what? she wanna have dinner wiff all whiteys? naw she did mention Mahalia ..lol

  • @musclenigga09

You know, it must be hard for some one like you? A piece of shit that just won't flush!

  • @italobambino43 your ugly ass mama!!

  • Feel good song 80s.

  • Very Jody Watley-ish....which is understandable since Jody was huge in 1987 lol

  • @marcusrob02

Correction, truth be told, Jody Watley sounded a little Janet Jackson-ish! Besides,Jody Watley was more 1990 ish!

  • @marcusrob02

Correction my ill informed critic! First; truth be told, Jody Watley sounded more Janet Jackson-ish. And Jody was also more like 1990-ish. Secondly; Donna Summer will always stand apart from the afore mentioned vocalists. She was and still is light years ahead of the past and current crop of female R&B singers.

  • @marcusrob02 I don't think it really sounds much like Jody Watley. I suppose this "sound" was popular with everyone at this time. If anything, it sort of sounds like a cross between the Human League and Brend Russell.

  • @shmuli9 The song was written by Brenda Russell, and the reason people are bringing up Jody Watley is that there was a review of the song, and the reviewer said that Donna reminded him of Jody on " still a thrill",in this song. Jody is hardly the vocalist that Donna is. He was very compimentary and pointed out that no one else could match her versatility. I exact quote was "she growls like Jody Watley on still a thrill ".

  • @shmuli9 I didn't really think Jody Watley either. I hear a bit of Stevie Nicks' sound (vocally). It really depends on what music/artists you've been exposed to.

  • @blakkone4000 Yes, she does sound somewhat like Stevie Nicks. The instrumenatiation sounds like something that Janet Jackson or the Human League did around this time. But unlike the whirling Stevie was known for, Donna looks in this video rather like a British artist around this time called "Jaki Graham"... (Of course, she sounds most like herself and looks most like herself, but there was definitely an 80s zeitgeist here.)

  • @shmuli9 Jaki Graham? Wow!!! There's a name you don't hear often. I know she has other songs but "Absolute Essential" is one that I remember the most.

  • shes one of the best ever...so many good songs

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA. DEC 31ST

YOU ARE MY FAVORITE FEMALE SINGER EVER!!!!

    FROM YOUR #1 FAN

    DEEDUBB1979

    GOD BLESS

  • Fascinating!

  • my god the 80s are the best, bring talent back like donna, when music was great, long live donna summer ,xxx

  • @melanie19721985 Well said )

  • This song is so 80's you can almost see the fluorescent neon lights and the adverts for Moonlighting on TV. Awesome times!

  • Donna Summer looks beautiful in this video.

Her voice is so authentic. No one can sing like this.

She is one of a kind. She was 39 years of age when this song was released.

    She looks fabulous.

  • @DEEDUBB1979 Its never about the Age...Its how good the singer is and Donna Summer will Never age in how good she Is......

  • @DEEDUBB1979 I totally agree my friend. I know music, all kinds from classical to techno. Donna summer has THE GREATEST VOICE i have ever heard. THE most underated star ever. I'm nuts about her. Always have been

  • @DEEDUBB19

I couldn't agree with you more. I remember this song so vividly. It's so sad that it didn't get enough airplay, when it was first released. I remember in grammar school, all those cruel rumors of her being born a man, originally and having a sex change! A beautiful face does not equate a beautiful voice! For many, she wasn't a visual beauty, by Hollywoods' standard, so they circulated ugly rumors to diminish her personally and professionally! Donna Got the last laugh!

  • i love this song also (maby she can make a duet with Rick James?)

  • love the dress all black one with the big necklace and earrings donna is wearing

that dress to the fullest kp

  • i remeber that the late mr. robert palmer said on radio he loved this song. and me too of course.

  • Kelly Rowland totally looks like Donna here!

  • Donna's my girl!!!!!

  • Awesome song!! Fascination, the next song on this album/cd, is a beautiful slow song. I wish some of Donna's slow songs would've done as well as the dance tracks!! DONNA RULES!!!!!!

  • Donna Summer is the best female singer in the world.

  • she looks hot

  • Hey Beyonce, GO LEARN!

  • One of the best songs she ever made, a rythm that keeps my feet in movement......MORE FANTASTIC ´80´s music at my channel!!!!

  • love that song and era too wish i have a dinner with all my missed homies from 80"s T-T

  • I was in 9th grade when this song came out...oh the memories. If I remember correctly, this is the time when Donna became a practicing christian. Also, i always used to compare how this song reminded me of Jody Watley's Still a Thrill single--the same monotone delivery--even the same fan my dress up dance move.

  • Before Youtube, Donna's movements @1:55 was the only part of this video etched in my memory; Roughly 20yrs (ala BET's Video Soul) have passed since I last saw the entire video.

  • I remember when this came out the word was Brenda Russell was very upset when producers asked her to let Summer cut a single. Russell later acquiesced and if you hear her later version, it's not produced as well as Donna's version, imo.

  • A new 2010 single may be on the way from "The Voice". Keep your ears and eyes open. DoNNa SuMMer is still around while some others have left the building.

  • I'll never forget the excitement of having Donna Summer back in the charts when this record and video came out. She was looking great, sounding even greater and climbing up the top 20 with this song in the late months of 1987. She also performed in London and Manchester after a ten year absence in the U.K. Now, in 2010, she's not had her own show here since 1996 . . an even longer gap . . . will she ever do another show here i wonder??

  • i 4got how dope this cut was

  • God, I really love this Donna Summer hit from the 80's.

If I remember, I was in my last year at senior school.

Remember listening to this on the radio in the mornings.

    GREAT SONG!! GREAT MEMORIES!!

  • What a great song! And she looks so cute on this video!

  • @liveandmore she is a cracker

  • @ravirishi1.....you mean graham cracker. LOL

  • Ilove this song....the tempo is so perfect!!!!...the percussion is awesome!!!!!! can anyone tell me who produced this song?.....what a perfect song!!!!!...

  • @goldenralph78 This song was produced by Brenda Russell (who also wrote the song) and Richard Perry.

  • @corpsvalue i loved candle in the wind

  • @goldenralph78 - Richard Perry produced it.

  • her voice is so so beautiful.love it ;0)

  • I love her so much......

  • legend

  • the woman is a legend singers like these come very often in a lifetime

  • omg donna rocks luv this song

  • Mitica Donna Summer!era l'87,che canzone!

  • Limmy!!!

  • I love "Dinner with Gershwin" it's such a true sounding 80's classic. One of Donna's best songs. FABULOUS xXX

  • I always thought this had the best intro. Makes me go all goose bumpy when l hear it.

  • I'm 21 years old and I love this timeless 80s music!!!!!!! Donna Summer needs to school all of these other mediocre pop singers today on how singing is really done and she needs to be a guest judge on American Idol and push Ellen to the side!!!! lol

  • @PopCulture20

(*claps and agrees*) I LOVE 80s music, but most of today's artists sleep on some of the best songs, like Donna's "Supernatural love."

  • @magniterrain there are some good artists that are out today such the Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga, but it's always the songs that you DON'T want to hear from them just so those songs can correspond with the rest of the mediocre tracks on the radio. since when did the radio become so traditional where you can't hear artists that are so distinguished from one another like it was from the 60s to the 90s?

  • @PopCulture20

I'm a huge fan of a lot of those kinds of songs. I get your point, but i do like some of the super-pop stuff. No matter how mediocre it is, it's still art. And the artists deserve any success they have. anyway, who knows? All the likeness in popular songs was a trend of the past decade. We could have neo-classical music topping charts this decade.

  • @magniterrain I agree and an aspiring record producer, I prefer not to go mainstream with my work because I know that I won't be appreciated in mediocre radio lol people are too blind and picky to see good music that don't get any recognition. My inspirations for wanting to record music came from Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Have you heard of them? They record most of Janet Jackson's hits

  • @PopCulture20 They are my FAV production team of all time! Janet's hits alone show how good they are. but then there's The Time, The S.O.S Band. I hope they make Janet's new album be a radio wrecker like Control was! They belong together!

Anyway, for your career, I believe the biggest tools for success are Positive thinking and happiness. DO NOT WORRY about not being noticed. Justice have fun doing what you love, and you will be far more content and successful than you think you will.

  • Clever song..great voice and donna summer gave the world sexy disco x

  • She looks like Whitney did in her video for "I wanna dance with somebody," especially with the big hair and big earrings.

  • The undisputed Queen of Disco!!!!!

  • Brilliant song. I have always wondered how song writers decide to use one main verse throughout an entire, or almost the entire song (Sade does this on several songs from the Stronger Than Pride album, and a couple of songs on Love Deluxe)... either way, it always sounds soooo smooth and just the perfect fit. In Gershwin the same verse is sung 3 times and each time the different spin on it just makes it seem brand new....brilliant writing Brenda, and brilliant singing Donna.

  • Ditto! This song and "My Life" are my most favorite Donna Summer songs. I love what Brenda and Donna did here, too.

  • She looks gorgeous here.

  • this is defenitely her best song ever

  • I remember being a young whipper snapper and my mum always playing this song, haven't heard it twenty years, to be fair not a bad song!

  • So what's a whipper snapper?

  • Great song and she looks very young and sexy here!

  • This song is the nuts!! Thanks for posting it!

  • I wanna have dinner with...........Donna Summer.

  • @sybnuia i wonder how good her gershwin is?

  • @sybnuia me too! :-)

  • So, where did you get yours hands on this wonderful DVD? I got mine on eBay some years back. This was a Spanish release and never released in the US. Very strange.

  • I love this song!!!
