That is funny. However it should be noted that wedge shaped (AKA Delta Wing) aircraft are not known for maneuverability at low speeds, but they do take the stress of high speeds better. It was not until the use of Fly-By-Wire systems that designers could make an airframe unstable and keep it in the air. Fly-By-Wire was used on the F-16 which in itself is something of a wedge shape. Delta Mirrage aircraft have been in use for years but the delta wing makes them less maneuverable at lower speeds.

I wasn't insulting your statement in any way. After reading it and thinking I found it quite true and amusing. Most aircraft manufacturers are going to wedge shapes. Eurofighter Typhoon, Dassault Rafale, even the F-35 and F-22 have very delta shaped main wings. The Russians seem to like the fully independant wing shape but even their new aircraft may take on a similar design to the 22/35. I was just explaining why it took so long to get here. Unstable deltas are the best of both worlds.
