it is known as the "king sport" because no other game is most popular worldwide. Its a shame that US don't understand the magic. in US you prefer boring games with lots of "time-outs"... or games that don't finish in the day they startes (cricket?...) - But I love your NBA. Much better than any other league. I use to say NBA is a different sport (than Basket).
Most of all you need EMOTION in a game: Football / Futebol / Soccer & NBA use to have emotions 'til the last minute!

Well, I know that actually only the U.S. call it soccer for the rest of the world is football...At least Wall-e is known as Wall-e worldwide :o)
