@07foxmulder Well I'm English, kind of a long way from Newfie, and I think I might just prefer this version, I love both and am a fan of REM, but I slightly prefer the pace and rhythm of GBS's version. Also makes a real challenge to sing along to which you feel great about when you've mastered it! :D

Like many country and rock artists, along with the few metal/screamo, rap, world/newage and reggae, I love Great Big Sea. And Even though I am not from Even from a harbor town nevermind not being from the Maritimes, I love Great Big Sea.

They are an amazing band. I am ABSOLOUTELY ASTOUNDED that they did not play a show at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics :O

I don't understand why the vocal balance on the 2 concert DVDs are so bad. I wanna hear all four parts, not JUST Sean and Alan. I just got a couple of earlier studio albums and the vocal mix is just amazing but on these things you seldom get to hear Bob and Darrell/Murray the way you should.

I wouldn't say that it's better than REM (I'm an original-biased kind of guy; REM did it first), but that doesn't mean it's not AWESOME.

And it's not just a cover. This really sounds like a GBS song when they do it.

My only complaint is that it's just too damn fast. I can barely understand most of the words (as if I could when REM sings it, lol).

The title of this song is actually, "It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)", by REM. What year is this from? What is the dvd's title?
