I always like to think that Myrna Loy got her paycheck and requested that she be "airlifted" out of this movie, hence her exiting before the second act. From Airport 1975 to this.. this grand dame of the silver screen should have had better twilight roles.
@CarolJiani well, that's what you can get if you choose to act more. I'm surprised her several time co-star William Powell, didN'T do a film after "Mister Roberts" (1955).

Is there a scene in this with a man trying to jump out of the window into the pool, but he misses, so he lands next to the pool?

If you want to see a really creepy ant film, I highly recommend 'Phase IV' directed by Saul Bass, 1974.
