FYI...the so called "phantom devices" is no secret. These grayed out devices are devices that were once connected to the computer and have been removed. The device drivers remain active on the system in case the device is plugged in so that it will function again without Windows having to re-install the device. Also, you CAN manually remove those cached device drivers, but it's meant to be done by power users, hence the "hidden" functionality. =)
there is a file for everything, go to the games file and open the highscore file in notepad change the highscore to wotever u want, save changes, next time u open pinball u will have the high score easy peasy
You know the pinball one? Type in hidden test TWICE after it loads, and you get a place on the high score board, with a score of (ready?)...one billion points!!!
LOL I suspect the hidden devices are the unused components on the motherboard once you have added hardware card. I believe all Motherboards come with built in modem.

C: could also be E: or another drive depending on when it was set up.
its typically titled Local Disk (C:)
