  • I played one of these with a b7 through a ac15 at Elderly and it played very nice

  • At what point did you decide not to use a pick anymore?

  • you guys should sell some of the Signature models, the Rick Vito (whoever he is) model looks awesome in black, be nice to hear a demo

  • So when is Andy gonna form a band and get signed?

  • which channel of the tone king do you use and what settings?

  • What is the name of the song at 1:40? It's lovely.

  • No hearsay about a solidbody Manta Ray?

  • Gawd damn! Looks so lovely. Why can't it be 25.5 scale! :( I can never find a hollowbody that I'll be able to be.

  • @iamLizardJohnny You could seriously try Crafter SEG450 or Crafter SEG450. They are not carved like this one but laminated but they are 25.5 scale and they sound as good as guitars twice their price.

  • All of the Reverend guitars, so far, have sounded great, but they all kinda sound the same. Maybe it's just me.

  • Just out of quick curiosity, any reviews of any new amps coming? I've been dying to buy a new amp and you guys help out alot!

  • Last song, please?

  • Dunlop should make molds of Andy's fingertips

  • The fact that the bridge has double the output as the neck doesn't necessarily mean it's a big difference in volume. To me, higher output usually just seems to break the amp up more. Strangely, there isn't that big of a difference in volume to me.

  • Have you considered carrying Eastwood guitars, from Canada?

  • One of these with some P90s would be detrimental to my wallet.

  • funny, i was just considering this one...

  • one of my favorite Reverends, alongside the Flatroc and the Sensei

  • really great, those reverends, too bad they aren't sold in germany :((

  • @MyHeartBeatsRnR That's okay. We ship to Germany every day. ;)

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos and when are you going to ship to Argentina??? sorry for my bad English...

  • @kmychalolbb We already do ship to Argentina.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos: I wish there was a company with PGS's excellent service to ship Reverend basses worldwide.. :(

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos do you ship to brazil?? lots of foreign sites don't... i think it's too much taxes

  • @guimolnar - Every day. We ship everywhere. Literally everywhere. That is all.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos good to hear that! and when will they arrive in the big shops like thomann, session or musicstore?

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos but i cant play them myself before i buy them :(

  • @MyHeartBeatsRnR Tatsächlich werden Reverends in Deutschland verkauft: von Taranaki. Leider nicht in vielen Läden, aber wenn man Andy Ebsen anmailt, hilft er gern.

  • @MyHeartBeatsRnR reverend guitars are sold in germany by a company called Taranaki Gutiars! Just google it, i already baught at them, nice shop!

  • This guitar looks like fusion Ibanez Artist with PRS Semi.

  • these reviews of all these guitars recently have made me fall in love with reverend guitars!

  • Loving the Jazz chords played in the outro music and during this demo.

  • Why isn't Andy super unbelievably famous yet?

  • I think I just found my new favourite hollowbody. Move over, Epiphone Emperor Swingster... now to try one of these babies out

  • awesome tone!

  • This is a nice brand. I'm glad I've been introduced to them thanks to PGS. Nice sound, nice price. Gonna have to grab one of these Revs down the road this year.

    Andy impresses yet again!

  • The neck sounds perfect for jazz, and the bridge for DAT CRUNCH!!

  • This thing just sounds beautiful.

  • Yes! Finally a demo on a semi hollow from Reverend! Make sure you get around to doing the Club King 290 :D

    Great stuff Andy + Crew

  • Im so drunk

  • For the money...is it possible to beat a Reverend guitar?

  • @adamd320i MAybe Hagstroms

  • @nunocarmona

Hagstroms are imho little more than good epiphones. The tone and volume pots on the one I tried didn't work that well, and the neck shape had a certain crudeness to it, which I find to be the case on a lot of mid priced instruments.

I never tried a reverend though

  • @adamd320i Ibanez models such as the Jet King and their hollowbodies are very well crafted instruments, whack on some decent pickups and you have yourself a great guitar!

  • He always chooses such tasteful stuff to play, and the tones are fantastic. I love watching these

  • They should, in my opinion, do the guitar reviews with 3 common amps. Some Marshall head, a Fender and an Orange perhaps? I would get a much better idea of how the guitar sounds that way.

  • what a cool and original guitar!

  • Neck PU for jazz, bridge for rock. Two guitar is one. Haha

  • I friggin love Andy's rhythm playing! Are all those riffs and melodies his own ideas? Rarely he throws in a bit of Led Zeppelin or other famous band, but most of the playing seems original bits... Wow!

  • @Eoon I would say that most of the time he is playing songs that you don't know..

  • I got my wish... oh lucky day! I was just on the PGS website checking out the Manta in tobacco sunburst and wishing they had a demo of Andy taking it through its paces. I, too, am loving the selections from Framus and Reverend. The ol' lady always has me add a guitar to my Xmas list. This might have to be the one. This or the Framus Hollywood Doublecut. Decisions, decisions...

  • wow.. nice playing - as ever ;)

  • 6,5 neck, 13k bridge pickup is a too big gap for me:)

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 The resistance of a pickup does not say that much about his actual loudness

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 Sorry for the newbie question, but what does "k" stand for (it does mean 1000, right? but 1000 what?), and what does it mean? Is that referring to the output of the pickup?

  • @jondawg123 Kilo Ohm. it refers indeed to the output of the pickup:)

It's always good to have a little hotter bridge pickup, because the strings vibrate weaker in that position.

but 13k to 6,5 k basically means almost double the volume/gain:)

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 awesome, thanks for explaining!

Would the fact that one is a lot "hotter" than the other make it a much more versatile guitar?? Isn't that the point of having a Strat and a Les Paul, to have one with hot pickups and one without?

  • @jondawg123

The difference between a strat and a les paul goes a lot further than only pickup output, but other than that, wether or not this guitar is more versatile depends on your taste.

If you like a little more roar out of your bridge pickup, then yes. If you like a bridge pickup that is just as clear and clean as the neck pickup, then no:)

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 That is about perfect for balanced volume.

  • Not a nit, but that Tone King amp makes most of the recent guitar reviews sound very similar with that very pronounced crunchy mid-tone. Maybe all the guitars recently have an unusual amount of mids, but I kind of doubt it. Still Andy rocks the house with these awesome demos.

  • @ArielsSmartyPants most of the recent reviews have been Reverend guitars...

  • @ArielsSmartyPants not exactly. I guess it's mostly due to Andy's finger picking style. He could get similar tones with a Fender DRRI + some dirt boxes. Guess it's true when people say the tone is all in your fingers. Haha

  • @ArielsSmartyPants it isnt out of the question to think all those guitars have really prominent mids. he's been using almost nothing but reverend's guitars lately and they seem to be real fat sounding. just sayin.

  • @ArielsSmartyPants that would be the tonal definition of "vintage" for most

  • @LainOfTheRealWorld I would agree with you except I know these guitars would sound very different from one another played through an old Marshall say. Humbuckers vs P90s are usually a big sonic difference don't you think?

  • You gotta love an innovative company that makes quality guitars that people can afford to buy. Thank you Reverend, and thank you PGS.

  • i think that 50% of tone of that guitars are from Andy's fingers, seriously. Love your channel guys, it's always great to watch some new things. Cheers.

  • woah

  • That guitar has a nice sparkle to it I love.. And its affordable? I love how you guys are showcasing stuff we can actually spend money on. Come winter break, I know what I'm spending my money on... Oh and.. first?

  • Love these Reverends and Framus gits. Sound awesome, and are affordable.

  • sounds great!!!!

  • Dame, i am seriously buying a reverend from you guys, now ... witch one XD, i love the sound of a p90 but this ons just screams ....

  • Awesome tone, as always :)
