I love the Stooges! They really were the masters of physical comedy and good singers as well.

This was the last Saturday night broadcast of Ed's "Camel" series on the West Coast [March 25, 1950], 'spectrum'. Beginning on April 4th, he appeared on Tuesdays at 9pm(et) for the rest of the season; East Coast affiliates presented this show via kinescope film on April 4th, because they could not carry the original live West Coast edition; no "coast-to-coast" transmissions were possible then, until the coaxial cable linking both coasts was completed in September 1951.

@fromthesidelines This is very interesting history about TV broadcasting.

I sent you via personal mail , a history of the CBC in Canada from 1946 to 1958.

The first microwave link in Canada was from CBC Toronto to Buffalo , NY, so that US programming could be part of CBC Toronto's TV lineup.
