Clinton was not dealing with the economy heading for a depression after the GOP ran it into the ground. He was smart then and as you see here he thinks this was the best thing to do and remember that the GOP had taken over the majority vote in the Congress with the vote in 2010. President Obama was still trying to work with the GOP as well but as we all know now, their only goal was to remove him from office and they've blocked any progressive bills that will help make our country grow.

Magnificent! It might be unprecedented, but Obama said he would be a President of change. Many are criticizing this, but I disagree. I feel it was wise and strategic. It isn't weak to bring in a former President in to speak in support of what you're doing--it's strong!
It also shows Obama is secure enough to give up the podium for a moment.
