  • OMGG...I just realized that BJJ doesn´t work against an knife attack...Jeezz ! It isn´t the ultimate perfect martial art ?! The end all be all stuff Gracies claimed to be ?! The realest Stuff in one´s arsenal to the street and to survive an street attack ?! I heard Rorion Gracie talk all about it. Ohh I get it..they were of course joking...eheh Gotta be it.

  • Great vid Jon, thanks for posting.

  • I'm not a big fan of grind-it-out wrestlers... but the Fitch haters are really irritating. I have respect for ANY man willing to step into a cage & put his life on the line in front of the entire world - regardless of his style. I might not get excited when I hear about a Fitch fight - but I respect the guy & I acknowledge that he's one of the top WW's in the world. The man fights in a cage - you haters just sit on your ass & talk shit about people who do things you don't have the balls to do.

  • i would love to see that on real battlefield XD

  • why didnt he just knee em

  • looks fun as shit but still dangerous... 1 of them could fall on it

  • i prefer this over the flashy ninja moves! would be cool if you tried training with kicks as well (groin and lowkicks for example). wouldnt that work even better?

  • yawn

  • я хочу с джонам пообшаться ))))

  • hey where can i get a knife like that?

  • That was so awesome :)

  • 7500 , 0.00015 amps

  • yeah this not gonna work

  • I don't think this is gonna work.

  • I want to do this haha

  • Lol Fitch slaughtered that guy

  • wow intence train style

  • BRILLIANT invention! amazing

  • fuckin army always gets the GOOD toys. USMC

  • This is a excellent training drill and i am glad some in MMA have respect for the weapons aspects of fighting. Mr. Fitch has always been one of the few I respect in MMA. There is a big difference between combative training to kill your opponant in war and combative training to defeat your opponant in a sport contest. In Filipino Martial Arts weapons training and empty-hands are treated virtually the same. Weapons are taught first before the empty-hands or in conjunction with the empty-hands.

  • o cara mais amarrão do UFC, amarrou até a faca, !!

    WAR LENDA

  • i think i know a better martial art to win a knife fight.... rondafukawai

  • Cool stuff. That looks fun as hell to train!

  • Although, I do see the effectiveness if you do go to the ground, except I would rely more on filipino arnis and eskrima for this fight.

  • @Jericho11894 lol.

  • You never want to wrestle with a knife, especially go to the ground from what ive experienced.

  • This is good knife wrestling but what is the goal. I teach that disaming is the last resort not the first. Pointing the knife towards the guy changes the attacker and forces him to defend/ run. need to include your foot and knee for pining hand, knife, /traping arm, sweeps, or escaping wrist locks. Learn to push the head down and sweeps from bent positions. Always attack the weapon arm with two hands never one. expect cuts/stabs. Train striking, disarming and wrestling seperately Then together

  • @bajanfights i dont think you should be telling jon fitch what to do lol

  • just fking kick him in the face nate duh! I'm sure he wouldn't expect that

  • @chuckyoungbloods You must have a bad sensei then. Our sensei says pain is pointless and only for macho guys.

  • This type of training while good, isn't very smart. The voltage could stop your heart. For the non medical students out there: your heart works with + - balance. Once you outbalance that, you have problems. If there were no mat (non conductor), they would be screwed.

  • this is maaaaad , amazing training

  • Sloppy ass knife fighting skills.

  • @Ragedhard More like reality. Life isn't a kung fu movie.

  • @Ragedhard I'd like to see you do better! (^_^)

  • CHANGE LEVELS BITCH

  • it would suck if you accidentally shocked yourself with the knife while disarming your opponent

  • hahaha HOOAH! ahaha you should go train with the Marines in their MCMAP training and tell us which one is better for actual MMA training, ahaha I was planning on joining the military for their training but some recruiters told me that in the Marines you have an open contract so they can give you whatever job they want to give you while the Army is a closed contract so you are promised the job you ask for but I think MCMAP is a better system than the MACP. I wanna know which is better ahaha

  • @BioBrokun

That is not true about the open contract. When I signed up for the Marine Corps back in 2000, I took the ASVAB at the recruiter's office and was then given a list of jobs that I could choose from. I believe both the Army and the USMC have open contract deals for people who either scored very low on their ASVAB test, or just don't care as long as they can get in.

  • You are a beast dude! Ending was cool!

  • I'd have absolutely no shot at taking that knife away from Fitch. I'd be reaching for my possibly defective sidearm in a hurry.

  • why didn't he just punch the living shit out of you while he was one top of you

  • @DADMMA… You have to be in the army modern army combatives program.. AKA, the Army lol.. I sir am in the army and can't wait to start training MACP

  • the problem with a knife is u only have to stab a person once in the gut, and 9 times out of 10 they die a few hours later.

  • He is d e a d 30\40 times.....

  • He is dead 30\40 times.....

  • is that arlovski fighting finch?

  • are you allowed to use strikes? like ground and pound?

  • good stuff!

  • Awesome!

  • awesome

  • thank you for posting this

  • looks fun

  • Fucking awesome.

  • Yes we got shocked pleanty. It hurta a bit but we are tuff guys and dont want to show any pain.

  • @OfficialJonFitch Thats awsome, where can you train for that ?

  • @OfficialJonFitch What is MACP? I'm not too familiar with the US Army

  • @Samtkjones Modern Army Combatives Program, basically the program they developed out of a week long seminar held back in the late 90's from the Gracies(Gracie Combatives)

  • Very cool. Did anyone get shock stabbed in this video? It is hard to tell.

  • moar videos Fitch! voice overs are great.

  • Fuckin sweet, I want one!

  • That thing has got to hurt!

  • Thanks for posting this Jon. This is some cool stuff.

  • Congrats on the certification, Jon!

  • Dude you should totally coach the wrestling team at my school and than we can finally show the other teams whats up. lol

  • That looks like a ton of fun!

  • Nice man ! loved the video .. nice arm bar at the end !

  • jesus I shit myself I have to train with that shock knife thing!

  • A real shock knife. Not only do you get cut to death, you also get stunned to death.

  • Good stuff, would like to give it a go for sure!

  • fuck i was sceard for fitch

  • Ariel Helwani's TESTICLES!!

  • Dave pulling reverse De la Riva was pretty cool.

  • Very nice Fitch. Right before my Afghanistan deployment we did combatives with a cattle prod, and it definitely changes things, but you can definitely rely on BJJ to help for sure!

  • Knee in the face, Jon Fitch dead...

  • Yes , at this point in our training we are not allowed to strike. We do a similar drill later with High Impact Suits on and basically its a free for all. The Idea of this drill is to show the soldiers how important grappling is. Many people become over reliant on their weapons. The fact is many times you do not have enough time to react and access your weapons and as we experienced side arms are very likely to malfunction. Also soldiers are never alone, they have battle buddies to support them.

  • Awesome!! I think I'll do the smart thing and invest in a knife fight. Training with wooden and rubber knives does not give you the same "dangerous" feel of going against a real knife.

  • this is where nate died 1:33

  • punching and kicking must not be allowed because why the fuck would you try to grapple/wrestle someone with a knife...

  • @deathVenom869 obviously you don't train in grappling or you might see the importance.

  • 1:26 lol at the dance.

  • i wonder how this stacks up to krav maga.

  • no punching and kicking

  • Holy shit! that looked awesome! I never even heard of a fucking "shock knife" before that is crazy. TY for the upload.

  • BJ should take a close look at that last clip, your due a finish Fitchy

  • I second what benshred posted. In a real situation the defender would have more options such as striking with hands, knees, feet etc. Still, this was impressive even with those restrictions.

  • very cool! thats great training to add to your arsenal

  • Must be hard as hell to defend against a knife attacker

  • This looks like fun... maybe.

  • Nice training, I'd be pretty scared to even try that.

  • jonny f thats filthy brother

  • In a realistic situation, you would kick the aggressor in the knees.

  • @Ryan256 That's dumb. Knee kicks aren't 100% cripplers like the movies make them out to be (see Brandon Vera's beastly stomp on Jardine's knee for an example), and unless you're sure the strike will take them out getting control of the weapon and/or getting away are way more important.

  • Holy shit.

This shit is why you're the man.

    War Fitch!

  • what a monster

  • Damn i'd like to see Fitch in a real situation. That'd be fucking awesome.

  • Never did any knifefighting. But this is pretty much what i thought was the way to go. 2on1 wristcontrol, and try not to get murdered before you can get the thing. ^^

Experience showing a bit there though. :P

Partner tenses up and gasses, which much suck when Fitch is coming at him with a 75000 volt electrified knife. :P

  • That's awesome! A few years ago I trained/assisted S.E.A.L. Team 3 during one of their six-week pre-deployment training exercises for a specific OP. I truly appreciate all that our military does for us and this country and it is awesome to know that as Mixed Martial Artists we can do our small part in helping to prepare these men for the life threatening challenges that lay before them. Excellent job Mr. Fitch and Mr. Camarillo! You guys are constantly doing great things.

  • So now even if BJ Penn brings a knife into The Octagon, he isn't going to win. WAR Fitch.

  • @mufc786hm LOL nice one bro

  • @mufc786hm what do u mean? if it was real he would have get cut plenty.. 0:11 in the leg and 0:13 in the right side of the stumic already within 15seconds = dead

  • 1:29 is the funkiest stab ever .. if i was stabbed like that in the street i'd have to give the person a round of applause

  • If only lightsabers existed...

  • that was friggin entertaining as hell. i was squirming around like crazy in my chair

  • its actually 7500 volts not 75000 volts. Cool video though

  • wow awesome!

  • did a guy just say kill him fitch?

  • Looked like the entire inside of your thigh got sliced open around the 0:45 mark. Must've been close. Fascinating to watch though. I wonder what Marc MacYoung would make of it..

  • My name is John Simons, Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and MACP Level 4 instructor. I am Fitch's MACP Instructor. He did a superb job completing every task and even surpassed my expectations. Honored to have Fitch as a student in MACP. Fitch VS Penn... Go FITCH!

  • awesome

  • This is awesome. Thanks for posting!

  • Great Job Jon! What do you mean you couldn't get the knife from him faster?? I thought that was fast, he knew what he was doing.

  • fitch would make a badass soldier

  • voice over is great, Jon Fitch is like a monotone Morgan Freeman :)

  • Nice arm bar. One question...do they practice wrist locks? But even with that said having to take on an apparently strong guy who also has a knife would not be easy at all.

  • Awesome job Fiooootch

  • great stuff Jon.

  • Yes it is a Real shock knife.

  • @OfficialJonFitch - Krav Maga is the real deal...

  • it looked like you stabbed him a few times

  • Was that a real shock knife?

  • Bjj in a knife fight >.

  • Amazing clip Great breakdown
