Personally It's team Abby because I rather think Chloe's acting fit the atmosphere a little better than Lina's. Although I find the original Swedish movie Let The Right One In really good, it's basicly perfect. But I don't think it brings out the supportive characters like the Gym teacher or Hakan as much as it should.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the book, the Swedish, AND American movies. I relate to both movies, I just like Let Me In better that's all.

Let the Right One In was just so much better than Let Me In. Let the Right One in was a true romance, there was no sex, simply two people accepting the needs of and challanging the other. It was amazing because it showed only what it needed to to express that Eli was dangerous, but still Owen loved her.

Let Me In was like, oh there's this vampire and she eats people. There's also this dude who gets bullied. The Vampire eats people and then saves the boy. THE END

LMI was alright, in my opinion Chole seemed bland to me, she didn't stick out like Lina did in LTROI. However, I loved Kodi in LMI he captured the awkwardness and overall feel of "Owen/Oskar" in a similar way Kare did. LTROI will always be my favorite film though!

TEAM ELI!!!!! No doubt about it! Abby was OK, but the character was not as developed as Eli. Plus, Chloe Moritz over-acted. Her performance was superficial. Lina Leanderson only knew what her lines and scenes were minutes before the scenes were done. I will not argue with anyone! So don't waste your time.

@reedcostume I could not possibly agree more. I have commented on several vids defending LTROI. Thanks to that piece of crap remake, LTROI is more popular than ever! A few years down the road, no one will remember Let me In or the shitty acting, but LTROI will always be an unforgettable classic. I'm like Virginia in the book when she said, "That kid, dhe must have infected me somehow. I reek of infection :D

Both are so awesome, teams huh? Well in that case, both teams are flawed in my opinion! I prefare Eli as the vampire, but Owen as the 12 year old lad lucky enough to meet a fairly friendly vampire. Abby is good also, but not quite as good IMO, while Oscars just a bit... dunno. Weird? Of course team Eli, you couldn't do better Eli than Lina Leandersson, and no one will ever can. It was just perfect! Eli is unique in her whole personality, just like in the book, and she looks much more convincing as a vampire. Abby is more a typical Hollywood-made vampire which you could have exspected, the only thing is that shes 12... and that she didn't sparkle.

And besides, who dares to remake a 2-year old, perfect movie???

@91Albertus I agree with you 1000%!! "Let The Right One in" is indeed perfect. I consider it to be one of the best films ever made. Lina did an amazing job. Tomas Alfredson said she was like an 80-year-old in an 11-year-old's body. He said she was very wise and could easily be his grandmother. He said she's "damn good". She was serious when she needed to be, but she also conveyed the lightheartedness and playfulness of Eli. There is none of that in Chloe's performance as Abby.
