  • Nice lift guys, I'm 20 and bench 405 at 200 lbs and 5'8". All of this was impressive except for "Daniel" the dumb ass with the glasses. How could you possibly workout with such a fucking dumb ass? I'm sorry I just can't take how he over exaggerates the shit out of his pre-set warm up. Seriously man.. You wear glasses, don't have a decent body and are the weakest out of everyone. Your bench "warm-up" is retarted. Fail. All the other guys, nice lift!

  • I am on the "Power Matrix" a tattered old piece of parchment with grueling routines, 220x8 265x5 285 x3 330x1 330x1 330x1 270x5 my max should be 365, but last ntight i attempted 405 I didnt QUITE get it so close. I am 194lbs. I dont take supplements I lift in jeans and shirt and smoke reds...because i am addicted to nicotine. too much beer on sunday. whether your on anything or using a shirt...those are fucking HERO class weights to push! well done

  • The very first guy in this video weighed in at 194, I weighed in at 238 and the last guy weighed in at 317 back on May 25, 2005. The 194 guy has benched 635 with a shirt, I have done 635 and the last guy has done 735.

  • honestly, im not sure, but it might have something to do with helping him feel where the bar should touch on his chest.

  • oh, actually, it's for simulating touching the chest, but having the touch be an inch or so above the chest. This is to help your body 'get used to' heavier weights and puts less stress on you shoulders etc..

  • Shirts help the explosion at the BOTTOM....the rest is you. There are many kinds of shirts, some allowed in sanctioned events, some banned.

    help keep shoulders in place as well.

    405 weighing in the 90kg class is common.

    500+ bench under 198lbs is also common.

  • Thanks. Just turned 39. Only thing I take is protein powder, glucosamine and always a multivitamin. I've been pressing over 400lbs for well over 10 years. Shoulder is still pretty good. My weight ranges between 220-240. Depending on the season.

  • Yeah that was my opener back in May 2005. It was 525. That was an APA-WPA meet in Oveido ,FL. That was my 8th day using a shirt. I only did 525,545 and 565.
