@masterskyrunner You do have to spend money to get yourself out of a situation like this. We don't have WWII that helped pull us out of the great depression this time (exports to europe). So we have to spend money on job creation. The private sector was not doing that. They were laying more people off. Those people can't buy things, or as many things, so more people get laid off. The government has to spend money on job creation at this time.

i'm sorry but i'm an american and i think that on a whole we are stupid when it comes to economics, politics, and the like. I don't mean everyone but can you argue that the vast majority of americans don't understand what's going on in politics. and how can people even say that obama is responsible for this debt crisis? Bush signed the bailout not obama. All obama has been doing is cleaning up his mess. that cost money.

"Oh, excessive deficit spending and government got us into this mess, maybe if we just spent and expanded MORE, the problem would reverse itself." That is ignorant. Even George Soros, a corporate criminal, agrees that if Romney and Obama get elected in the same decade, it'll be good for him and he'll get much richer.

Taxes, fees, hidden charges, forced or cohersed it's still always about getting OUR money for THEIR spending ideas. take, take, take from the masses (us) and give to the masses (their rich friends to get richer) all the issues/stories, reasons are always about YOUR money they want. @12212012ist Do you realize that some states get back more from the Federal Government than they pay in taxes? It's true! If I remember correctly, either Tennessee or Kentucky gets back approximately $1.50 for every $1.00 in Federal taxes. Please look it up. Thanks!
