I've loved this song ever since I first heard it on the "Italy after Dark" C.D which I found in 1997. But, I've never known what the lyrics meant..POW!!!! What a revelation!!!!! SUPERB!!!! i shall sing it in the shower with even MORE gusto now! (p.s. i still love the ladies thou'..even at my age! (54).

Pavarotti? Schippa? Both Maestro's to be sure! But, NO ONE! NO ONE, had the "color" in his voice that was borne by Carlo Buti. That is why he was known as Italy's "Golden Voice." I first heard his "Vivere" a few years ago. .."OMIGOD!!!" No one has ever moved my heart and soul that way with a song. I once listened to it non-stop on a drive from NW Indiana to St. Louis, MO. I would love to have a transliteration of every word. .... THIS IS MYYYYY SONG! Ohhhh my!

Oh how beautiful! I am so taken! As for the most part this is what I imagined the song to be saying. Granted it is from the perspective of a man in his observation of the moment, but I think the point is well taken as it applies "across the board!" I like to think that for every ending, there is a new beginning. Perhaps this is what I so clearly felt when first I heard the song? It reaches deep into my heart, therein to touch my very soul.
