    Inspirations & Blessings,

    Nat

  • Simply beautiful...!

  • beautious the locs and the women are beautiful as well. dark skin and hair beautiful music filled with beats of love and the vocals are down to earth

and sweet like all souls should be

  • @locked1999 - Thanks so much, I'm so happy you enjoyed it!!

    Inspirations & Blessings,

    Nat

  • at 1:45, i'll kill for them dreads lol thats the size and look I want mines to be

  • 0:36 it almost hurts to look coz it's so beautiful.

Diego Rivera in Detroit during 1930's:

"The black race is like coal, because it has a great native esthetic sense, a real flame of feeling and beauty in its ancient sculpture, its native rhythm and music. So its esthetic sense is like the fire, and its labor furnished the hardness which the carbon in the coal gives to steel."

  • @frankandersson76 - Wow, I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this quote. I've never heard it before, but I'll definitely have to use it in the future. Thanks so much for sharing that and I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the slideshow!!

    Inspirations & Blessings,

  • Locks look better on "ethnic" hair, just my opinion.

  • so unnatural...

  • Beautiful great video....loving it. Started locking 4mths ago and really not liking d way my locktician is getting it done so want to learn as much myself to make it what I want it to be. Again the curls are great

  • These woman are so stunning! I've been thinking about getting this done to my hair as I'm tired of twisting and retwisting my hair every few days. My hair is down to my shoulder blades right now because I no longer put perms or straighteners in my hair. Only natural products such as CD. My hair doesn't breaks off and it's strong and healthy like it was when I was a kid. This is one of my regrets in life, that I tried to fit in with what society wanted. Black women truly are Queens of the world!!

  • @60sAmethyst - I have to agree with you on your last comment sis!!! I hope you decide to lock, you won't regret that decision; it's been almost 6yrs for me and I can't believe I didn't do this sooner!

    Inspirations and blessings,

    Nat

  • fertile ground! thats my girl Nevasha! Bmore's finest!!!

  • @IZionDawta - Oh yes, I love me some Navasha!!! lol

  • There is definitely a liberation in knowing that you love your natural hair and don't care about what is expected of you from society, in that regard. I don't think black women hate their hair rather I believe they are trying to fit a mold - those are two totally different realities and if only black women knew they did not have to fit the stereotype then I'm sure many would restore their natural hair because it truly is versatile and beautiful. I especially love locks!

  • @sillylilly81 - Well said Lilly!!!! The liberation is AMAZING!!!!

    Inspirations and blessings,

    Nat

  • yoo can i ask who is dis gurl at 1;28 because she looks just like ma niece @raratequila....check her out on youtube and judge for yourself no joke

  • ¡Nice!

  • Its so beautiful to see and surround myself around unique, humble people, im only 1 1/2 year in with my locks, but reading all the comments of 5, 11 years in just motivates me more, one of the best things i ever did was lock!!! great video, its so good to be free and have my natural beautiful hair!!!!

  • @empreshershey - Yaayyy for you!! It is a beautiful journey to self love and finding your true natural beauty!! I hope you continue to relish your locking experience, there's just more beauty to come!!

    Inspirations and blessings,

    Nat

  • Beautiful video - thank you so much for putting this collection up. I've been loc'd for about eleven years and I'll never go back to being non-natural!

  • @aingealism - Thanks so much for the great comment! Locked 11yrs, how wonderful!!

I wonder what my babies will look like after 11yrs!!! I'll be celebrating my 6th year lociversary at the end of this year!

    Inspirations and blessings sis,

    Nat

  • Could u get me the name to artist of the painting? I want it!!!

  • @monitapitts - I wish I knew who the artist is, but I don't.. Sorry :-(

If anyone else knows, please feel free to share!

    Inspirations and blessings,

    Nat

  • Not trying to be racist, but white folks get dreads it's disgusting, all it means is that you haven't washed your hair in a looooooongggg time, and they look horrible.

  • i just love this video! i sent it to all my girls who have locs

  • @adia1198 - That's fabulous!! I'm happy you enjoyed the collection!

    Inspirations and blessings,

    Nat

  • i just love this video! i sent it to all my girls who have locs

  • love this video and the song too... beautiful

  • WHO SINGS THIS SONG? I just love it. The artist and the name of the song PLEASE!

  • @ProverbsQueen1 - This info is in the video information, but it's 'Be Natural' by Fertile Ground.

    Inspirations and blessings,

    Nat

  • I am 3 months in..wished i would have started sooner

  • I restarted my locs an my hair is healthy because my stylist takes care of it but, what types of spray or products do you use

  • @crackinnecks09 - All of that information is in my vids. I have a lock maintenance vid (several actually) that goes over my routine if you'd like to watch and find out! And know that what works for me, may not necessarily work for you due to differences in hair texture. Keep that in mind.

    Inspirations and blessings,

    Nat

  • Love it!!! :-)

  • I wish more women would get locks where I live....its a shame

  • Black women are sooo beautiful..WOW

  • They sure are.

  • I love this video I love my Black sister 12 months and counting

  • I m white and i just love locks , this is very beautiful , i got dread locks too =))

  • Just started mines about...7 months ago. My twists are locking up nicely but I hope they're thick enough. I've combined a few. Meh it's tricky isn't it? Lol I loved this video. The most beautiful type of women. Great loc inspiration.

  • @Jelloxox - Good luck in your journey! Know that when your hair fully locks, it will be thicker than it appears now, so don't gauge what the end result will be too much on what you see now as it's maturing!!

    Inspirations and blessings,

    Nat

  • I <3 it! Natural is a beautiful thang! I embrace it to tha fullest!!!!

  • This is what I like to see

  • every time i think about turning back to the lye i watch this video n it keeps me going and hoping!!!

  • @shamia3121 - I'm thrilled to hear that!!!! Stay Happy-n-Nappy!!!

    Inspirations and blessings,

    Nat

  • Our honies with their braids are so sexy and uplifting.

    They make me so freshed.

When you watch our sisters with their flowing braids, that's the truth beautie of our African women and honies of this earth.

  • hey whats the name of this song??

  • @emoni26 - Are you serious??? Look in the info tab of the vid. I'm tired of answering this question when the information is posted.

  • this song and these pictures are truly beautiful.

  • @jaggar14 - Thanks!

  • women look amazing with dreads. i wish my girl would join me on my journey but its cool because at least shes natural and i respect that. i use to watch this vid when i had baby dot dreads in my head like "i cant wait till my hair looks like that" but ive learned 2 appreciate my own locs. patience is the key. 2 years n counting.

  • @kemd31 - Thanks for such a wonderful comment!!! I am with you, it's all about your own journey and patience MUST be part of that journey (lol). I hope you continue enjoying your locks brother and maybe your girlfriend will lock due to you leading by example!

    Inspirations and blessings!

    Nat

  • I had my dreads for a year in a half they shoulder length and i wear em wild and let them be frizzy for a few months before i get them retwisted

  • @HemoDre5 - Niiiice!!!

  • @HemoDre5 that is what I am going to start doing..they look better when they're all wild, fuzzy, and frizzy..I love it!!

  • @KMELIZ21 your locks are beautiful as are u

  • This viedo sold me on locs. I started my locs about eights days ago, but they keep coming loose. Can you give me the name of avery good product that will hold the locs. I flnd myself twisting five or more times a day.Can you also give the name of a product that will grow them and that i can maintain them. please respond. i need help. All the ladies on that viedo has the most beautiful locs. thank you for the viedo.Keep informing the ladies about becoming natural.

  • @20689960 - Ok, without knowing your texture of hair or the method you started with, it's pretty difficult to answer this question. You also need to know that products have nothing to do with your hair unraveling in the beginning stages. In other words, it's going to happen unless you tie them in knots at the ends. Locking is a process and that's just one of the down falls at the beginning of this journey.

Send me an email via YT with all the details if you'd like more information!

    Nat

  • @20689960 jamaican mango & lime lock grease its good hold and smell good

  • Too many people in this world associate dreads with being wild and dirty. While I have no problem with the dreads that look a little less "tame", I keep mine looking neat and hopefully it helps to fight that stereotype...I get plenty of compliments, but I wish I could show this vid to some of our women to let them know that they dont need relaxer to be beautiful.

  • @winMillz

  • My locs are 4 yrs old going strong. Jah Rasta!!

  • Im at 8 months loc'd!

  • I'm a year and a half LOCed!

  • i am 4 months strong, no turning back..LOCS ARE SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!

  • i want dreaDs but im still afraid

  • @Bqd22 ..I was too. I bit the bullet on june 5, 2010, and it's got thro the messy stage, I am getting all kinds of " may I touch your hair" I am loving me and my hair... who cares what others think.. u get 1 life ..do you..

  • @Bqd22 - What are you afraid of, I'm curious?

  • Well if this wasn't the seal on my envelope...lol!

  • locks are beautiful we been locking since biblical ages black people know your beauty dont get your brain white washed they hate us because they jalous we are the chosen people

  • @HLRass that's not a nice thing to say! we don't hate you, we're all chosen people, and we all can have dreads :) wich means in my opinion we're still the same

  • @Spinningwhale - Thank you for that comment! I have to admit that I'm in TOTAL agreement with you. I think the media and societal messages make us believe that our hair isn't beautiful in it's natural state, but I think it's a bit much to say that we're hated by other races and that we're the only chosen people. We all derive from the same two people, so we need to stop all that kind of negativity!!

    Again, thanks for your comment!

    Inspirations and blessings.. Nat

  • I LOVE women with locks. Something so powerful about being natural...man or woman, from all ethnicities. I've had my locks for 7 years and highly doubt I'll ever cut my locs off. • Can you tell me where I can find it? I want it?

  • Where did you find the abstract painting at the end of the this video?

  • @monitapitts - It was from a friend's myspace page.

  • @Nat0526 who is the model at 0:54 ???

  • @arab3515 - Her name is Nerissa Irving. She's a well known Rasta model. She's practically been locked all her life!

  • @Nat0526 shes beautiful

  • i recently shaved my hair off which has always been long and it is now less than an inch i wanted to start over perm free and move on to locks i must admit i feel soo free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how do they get curly? do u twist them even more

  • @conorsoccr23 - Locks are no different than any other hair style. To get them curly, you can either roll them in rollers or any sort or pin them up to make pin curls. As long as your hair is wet when you set the curls, when it dries, you'll have beautiful curly locks!

  • Feeling inspired! This is awesome! F da european culture with their long straight wavy hair. Black men and women should switch back over to being the "Culture" we were made to be instead of being made insucure by society standards! I mean who da hell are they to decide what make us beautiful!

  • @napisha locs should not be cut or removed until black are free from bondage growing locs is supposed to mean you except jah into your heart and soul

  • This helps me appreciate my dreads more...=^)

  • @ILUVHbobmarley - That makes me smile!! That's the point of the vid; for those of us that have them already, for those that are on the border line of deciding to grow them, and for those that don't have them & may have never seen them in this light!

    Inspirations and continued blessings.. Nat

  • be natural by fertile ground:)

  • Comment removed

  • Not to get in the middle of an opinion based argument. I like mine to be based on fact. I just want to clear up one comment made that locs can't be removed. Yes they can. It takes a lot of time patience and conditioner but it is possible. As far as them not being natural, that's a matter of opinion. I have loose natural hair and I plan on locking soon. I feel that I won'
