Gianni Raimondi è un tenore extraordinário. Ho sentito cantare nella GICONDA, in San Paolo, 1969. Tenore lírico-spinto de grandissima qualità. Voce bella, forte, bellíssima interpretazione. Sue acudi sono spetacolare.
Concordo con tutti voi che il Maestro Raimondi non sia stato ricordato a dovere, ma forse è stato proprio lui a voler andarsene in silenzio ed umiltà. Forse voleva sentirsi una persona qualunque non una star. Un gesto di grande umanità che renderà ancora più prestigiosa la sua immagine di grande uomo e grandissimo artista che con la sua voce celestiale ha commosso il mondo!!!! Un grande applauso dedicato a tutta la tua vita Gianni, sperando che da lassù ci senti!!!
Gran bella interpretazione, di un tenore che non ha mai avuto un grande successo commerciale/popolare ma che rimane nel cuore dei veri appassionati per la bellezza della voce, per il canto pulito( non istrionico e lontano dagli eccessi) e per gli acuti magistrali.Veramente un grande.

Pavarotti ( tenore che io ADORO ) ha ricevuto tanta attenzione da parte della stampa solo e unicamente per i duetti con le pop star e i megaconcertoni dei " Tre Tenori." Se non si fosse dato alle baracconate commerciali che tutti conosciamo non avrebbe ricevuto nulla di più di quello che hanno ricevuto Raimondi, Corelli, Bonisolli, Kraus, Di Stefano (...). E' triste, lo so, ma è così. Se ci fai caso in TV si parla sempre e solo del Pavarotti pop star, quasi mai del Pavarotti tenore. Saluti.

Unfortunately, in his time, competition was hard and he was overshadowed by Di Stefano, Corelli and other great tenors. But he remains in our memories as one of the very best lyric tenors of the century.

Thank you for your comment. You're correct. Ponselle was 21 (she was born on January 22nd 1897) when she made her debut in Leonora of La Forza on november 18th 1918 with Caruso-Mardones-De Luca. She's my all time favorite soprano as you guessed it from my pseudonym :-)

Oggi il mio caro Maestro Gianni ci ha purtroppo lasciato.
Dopo tutte le chiacchiere inutili sul pur grande Luciano, hanno liquidato Gianni con un trafiletto di 2 righe di numero su La repubblica.
