I almost got him, I must have had atleast 500 of his HP to go. And when he made the debris fall, I thought I dodged it, then in the area I had ran to, a spikey, thin piece of debris came in from the roof and killed me.

My flames don't do nearly enough damage so I use the wind magic, he's weak to slash attacks and the wind is actually slash magic so I can nail him with 47 at a time if I launch individually when I have the wind ring. Also Luminato is surprisingly useful in the right situation. A lot of light-weak enemies fly around like assholes and it owns against them. Esp. Ectoplasm which will curse you if you touch it.

So, question, I thought Goliath was already long dead by the point this took place (Goliath lived and died sometime during 1040-1027 BC, and Order of Ecclesia took place in the 1800s), so how is his body intact (not to mention still having his head)? Also, is there a reason why Goliath seemed to be admitted into Heaven (the ray of light, not to mention the pose he made shortly before vanishing, implies that he went into Heaven instead of down below.)?

You can get it if you have double jump and explore the whole tymeo mountains,but again you need double jump to be able to jump to places you couldn't reach before and there's going to be a demon who throws the same fireballs while he's attacking you have to absorb the glyph ^^ OR use Vol Conforede it gives 33 damage but is harder to use because you need to get close and he can attack you while you atack him.

You get it from any fire demon. Wait till they start to do their magic attack and then hold up on the D-pad.

When he starts marching across the room, if you duck right you can get under his legs when he walks over you, that way you can avoid his punch combo, and get in some free hits when he walks over you.... it really works!

Yea thats what I did, but it seems this way works just as well...I went into the battle with Vol Macir and Grando, so I think ducking down and letting him walk over me worked better, cuz I got a few extra hits in with the hammer and the ice...but this way is probably better for Ignis because you can hit Goliath more if you are in front of him, and not under him

the graphics on that boss looked terrible. I can't stand it when konami gets lazy and just decides to "rotate" the parts of a monster rather than actually animating them. That rotation screws of the line quality.

this boss was hard at first but hes the easyest so far when u figure out his attack pattern, he leaves alot of space open to spam your ignis on him.
