@MelodicSymphonia thing about FF is you pay for character slots its only a way of payment dont worry tho they will only charge you for your character slot not the monthly fee due to its release its free until they are happy (which means FF14 for the ps3 will come out).

Dude, when I get the completed version of this game [which will be a long time from now, I bet] I'mma make a little kid character, then max train it, then PK every big buff character I see, if PK is possible. @jhoanos Miqo'te males are extreamly rare thus they never leave the main land of the miqo'tes but some a few have left for adventure ^.^ i only know of 2 so far 1 from ff 11 and one in ff14 but like i said they are extreamly rare.

I dont know if I should try this or not. If it has a free trial then maybe. But I tried the pc check thing that sees if you can play the game and that didnt even work properly. Also I didnt like FFXI and I dont know if this will be the same as before, I only got to level 5 on FFXI.

It is not in Beta. This video was created during the Beta testing phase, which began in July. Final Fantasy XIV's official release date was September 22, 2010 for the Collector's Edition and September 30, 2010 for the Standard Edition; these release dates are PC only dates. The PS3 version has not been released.

I'd like to comment on this while I'm here; I spend so much time making characters, it's sad. I'd say usually 15-25 minutes...Once I get to my discipline I'm like *Previous... Previous.. Previous...* To change a detail or so on the actual character ._.

@pumpkingoth GT220 is actually pretty decent, it's the standard card for the computer I bought last year, nothing special- just a regular desktop. With GT220 I was able to play FFXI (Previous FF MMO) with max settings and max FPS, sadly I can't play FFXIV with max FPS. Usually 20-40 fps normally, and sometimes you can shoot up to 60 (If you're alone haha)

Yeah 14 is way more rewarding in short bursts, rather than 11 lol. I mean one thing I've definitely noticed, along with many other people; Your loot sells like 82358% more than what it did in 11 xD. I seriously made around 50k just by leveling jobs running around Ul'Dah. >_> Of course with that, comes shit in bazaar for a ridic amount.

Well, keep in mind it's the beta you were playing. Everyone is the same lvl looking for the same things, so of course stuff will sell well.

How were the quests and lvling experience? I'm taking what ppl say with a grain of salt, b/c you could solo to like lvl 12 in FFXI pretty fast.

What lvl did you get to and how fast did u get there? Did you get there primarily by questing? If so, how was questing? Was it more easily accessible than FFXI?

It is an upcoming MMORPG. You will be able to buy it in stores but if you pre-order it online you'll be able to play it 8 days before regular players can. Expected release date is: September 30th, 2010, for the standard edition.

Pre-Orderd the limited adition for the PC, hope it plays well, FFXI Online played smoothly on my laptop though I think the graphics might have been a little worse than usual, I hope FFXIV won't look to terrible on my laptop and will play smoothly considering it takes up even more space than XI even if you have all of the expansions =/ I'm hopin' I'll have a PS3 by the time it comes out for it, that way I can play it on the PS3 instead, I also hope it comes with BOTH pre-order items =/

Dunno if they'll be customizable, but from what I've heard, the miqo'te will have larger and smaller ears depending on whether they're seekers of the sun or keepers of the moon. There'll be differences in the type of tail, too, and they said that the tail color will be customizable in the final version, so maybe the ears'll be too.

An in-depth Midlander, Highlander, Sea Wolf and Hellsguard creation would be awesome! I saw a Highlander creation vid but it was horrible. The guy just ran through the process, barely touching the available options. :(

I hope so as well, although customization is vastly increased with the ability to modify both hair color and highlights. So, that's a plus. The downside is FFXI didn't have much customization either...I guess we'll just have to wait and see though, since this is only Beta.
