Don't think he's German. His accent isn't as hard as a Germans, it's more flowing, like Dutch. I'm not sure you can conclude a nationality based on his name or accent. In any case I think his voice, style and name is meant to reflect the typical mass marketing we see today. No real nationality, just annoying marketer.
