@ssj5evilgoku Yeah, besides the principal is here to prove a point by taking his job so seriously, that what is entertaining to the youth is creepy to him.
@david10291029 lol yeah omg i remember sometimes the whole tape would be gone in one day, or i put almost the whole thing in ( well not all of it) but i would put alot in my mouth sometimes. sometimes my friends and i would challenge eachother how much we can stuff our mouths lol
Good lord the flood of memories this brings. 4rth grade. Living in Cleveland Ohio at the time. Best friends name was Damien. Amazing how this kick ass commercial takes me back!
OMG I was just thinking about this commercial just the other day and it sure takes me back to the 4th grade! At the time my next door neighbor's first name was Jose!
wow I remember this commercial...it's weird seeing commercials that I haven't seen in almost 20 years...like I forgot all about it until I see it again
Was I the only kid that made their parents mad by begging for the bubble tape and then attempting to measure it by unrolling it out on the floor? The grape gum was bad, but not as bad as fruit stripe.
The voice for this commercial is none other than Pat Fraley. An amazing voice over guy with a long list of cartoons, commercials, and TV shows, etc. under his name.
@ClassicCommercials4U they do still make it. but it's in a different package now, i think because it looked too much like a smokeless tobacco, dip package. and it only comes in bubblegum flavor now
@rajdrop86 they still make it, I just found some at walmart and if you have a Stewarts shop anywhere near where you live they have it thier to=) but it is very hard to come by now a-days. but with Easter comming check in your stores Easter candy section and you might beable to find some thier. hope this helps=0
Dad is specifically said to dance the polka, and he also hasn't been to a heavy metal concert. Mom plays bingo, bowls, and has never had a mohawk. I remember that one well.
I don't mean to be a 'Negative Nancy', but the lip sync is off, and the commercial didn't finish the "For you, not them!"......... (I take my retro commercials VERY seriously).
Ah Youtube! The Internet TIME MACHINE! I was in the mood to see "...can't rap!" LOVE IT!

Bubble Tape is the reason why I gave myself a 2nd degree burn.
You remember the cigarette lighters in cars (har har, another 90's thing) and how they're all coiled up? Yeah, looked like Bubble Tape to me D:

Does anyone know where I can find the Bubble Tape commercial featuring Mom and Dad (Your mom loves lima beans, she can't stand Bubble Tape, etc.)?
Imogenne 3 years ago
Nope, sorry. I'm a retro commercial connoisseur, and I have to say that it was 'Dad' that liked lima beans, not the mom.
supercyberfunk 2 years ago
Oh, you're probably right, it's been like 19 years since I've actually seen it. And doesn't one of the parents dance the polka?
Imogenne 2 years ago
Both parents danced the polka, and I've been looking all around the internet for that commercial. No luck so far...
