watch the replay see the liverpool player try put his hand on the ball / scrape the ball. If the final player gets a whole foot on that its a direct own goal, with Rheiner going the wrong way.

Everton had 2 or 3 good sweet moves in this game that resulted in near goals. They did deserve this and they 'won' this 3 match suite of recent derbies as they had depleted squad and very transparent plan which pool knew about but could not do anything about. Pool are top but they have had some bad draws

I couldn't agree more. I still find it amazing that no-one ever mentions how good Dan's take-down was. Have YOU ever tried to trap a crossed ball like that , control it instantly while surrounded by defenders then steer it toward goal?

That was amazing skill and he's still only a teenager. If Beckham had done that, the press would be drooling over it for months.
