I had inarizushi for the first time last year... No one warned me how sweet it was, and it physically made me sick =p...Just before taking the JLPT...Me and sweet foods don't get along.
I had these before when I got a mixed platter from a Japanese resturant when I was living on the west coast. I wasn't a big fan of the sweetness to it but I still liked it all the same. Probably doesn't even compare to ones made in Japan.
I am a HUGE japan fan(that rhymed!hehe) and I went to little tokyo in LA today for my first time. I ate some REAL ramen, ate some Inarizushi (loved it!) and what woke me and my friends up today was the LA marathon outside our hotel window! Im gonna put up the video some time, im to lazy haha. I made my friends try the Inarizushi , they got disturbed that it squirted in their mouths.oh well! there was more 4 me! :D
@phampants I have been living in Asia for 8 years now! hehe Korean ones are the challenge...they're thin metal chopsticks. Once you can use those, you can use anything!
I love inarizushi too, though I still dip it in soy sauce and wasabi like regular sushi. You might need a third channel for your food videos. Kobe Kevin's Japanese Eats? Japanese Foods?
I always have a bit of a chuckle when ever I hear 'inari'. It is also a slang word for a unit of embarressment in Kansai area. 1 inari is the embarressment level felt when one accidently exposes a testicle while wearing shorts !! :-)
I Love Inarizushi, too! It is so good and Vegan! I just do not enjoy Pickled Plums in my rice balls. A long time ago I had one with a dried fish in a souce, OMG was that good. I have almost never run into that since. I cannot wait to get to Japan. I do understand the difficulty of eating Vegan there, as even things that are 'vege' have bonito broth ect. in them. But that is a healthy lunch and cheep!
Looks yummy!!!...that golden beer in your new intro's a bit over priced. Its usually about 40 yen cheaper than Kirin Lager, I can't stand it....cool intro though mate : )
japanese food looks kinda unhealthy. How do they stay so thin? I eat mostly vegetables and I'd probably be considered overweight compared to people there lol.
I heard that the recent Christchurch quake is ruining their economy due to poor tourism in New Zealand. Is it the same case in Japan? Would it be beneficial to funding relief efforts (as well as more fun, obviously) to plan a trip to Japan rather than donating?
There is an Asian supermarket that I go to, they sell those fried bean curds that you use to make those, Those things are delicious!!! I love making sushi at home <3 Thanks for the video kevin! Awesome stuff!
Is the Ponyo theme the new national anthem of Japan?lol. Seriously Ive seen many vids by other J-Vloggers and there are instances where you could here it in the background.
kevin it never fails you upload a video of food when i frekin starving i just got off work and have no desire to cook and saw this, god i wish i was in japan i miss freshness burger
I love this stuff! I'm so glad I can get it locally.

it looks REALLY greasy, It's so SHINY! it looks weird... But I'd still try it because I eat just about anything... or atleast try it once..
StarAWings 11 months ago
@StarAWings Haha, it looks "greasy" but it's not XD I can't explain it, but it's basically the flavouring/marinade(?) the tofu has absorbed =3
twinkie15432 11 months ago
Good choice.
Nobody picks up Inarizushi.
Some people boil fried tofu just little bit before making inarizushi to make it less greasy.
Tnakamura11 11 months ago
i tried this once ^_^ it was called "inari sushi" though, so i was surprised that it wasnt fish at all :O
