when my dad first played me this tune I was captivated by the sheer melodic nature of this master piece. bout a dozen plays later I still didn't know the lyrics so my dad gave me the album and i learnt the lyrics. Now I listen to this tune and I am still captivated by the melody, but I am also stunned by the negativity yet realistic nature of the lyrics. This song, I always imagined the movie "Moon." A clone, on an abandoned planet thinking he could go home in three years. I imagined the machines around him trying to burn the impression of suicide, rather than how they just gassed them in the movie. I imagined the "such a pretty house, such a pretty garden" being the clone's thoughts of the home that he thought his family still lived in. He resists, the machines slowly turning him mad.
