may seem like a stupid question but how do you get the sound to record to the camera instead of the camrera mic. if ha a alesis imultimix 8 usb if it matters
It should say somewhere on the camera - try the bottom...Sony, Panasonic etc?
There are probably two ways of getting your iMultimix to rec to your cam: get a Double Mono (= Stereo) 1/4" (or RCA) to Mini Jack (3.5mm) cable and run it out of the Alesis:either out Master or Tape out (the RCA), into your camera.
Change the cam input switches to "LINE". Sometimes it's automatic when you plug in, but somewhere in the menu you might have to set the camera input to "LINE"...Auto gain will also help.
how do u record your cymbals? i also have a customs and when i record with them they ring SO much and i dont like it. yours are just like a strike and then they r basically done. how do u do that?
nvm...one more ? how you make your cymbals not have any xtra ring to them. like u hit the cymbals and basically thats it. cuz i have a customs and they ring A LOT
omg y arent loads of npeople favoritin this lol amzing drums dude and an amzing drummer :D and i think i speak for evryone wen i say gorgeous symbols nice sound on the nib of that ride cya xx

Try this to quiet cymbals down:
-Point you mics down more and closer to the velums. The higher gain close up would pick up less distant cymbal sound.
-Swoop hit them, instead of straight on.
-Mount them higher.
-Buy smaller sizes, as they tend to ring less. Bigger bells/tapers should give you lower sound if you want to avoid them sounding too splashy.
- Add a little more low/mid EQ to toms and cut highs.
Hope this helps. Your kit sounds awesome btw and the Zepp cover is spot on!
