  • I feel a lot safer walking down a street with my gun strapped to my side in open view.. people will think twice before messing with you...

  • Fuckin A. City council woman doesn't even know their own lingo? She needs to keep her fat mouth shut if she doesn't have anything not-stupid to say.

  • Thanks

  • Its a great cause, but practice speaking without the notes and for god sakes, tuck in your shirt.

  • Dudes a lefty too! :P lol...Thanks for standing up for OUR rights!

  • Thank You for fighting the good Fight I live in Flint Crime is rampant And the Police and Government CANNOT protect the Citizens Open Carry is the solution Good job.

  • I have a question about Michigan law. When do you have to show ID when Open and Concealed carry?

  • @SuperSneakySteve While open carrying, you are NOT REQUIRED to show ID. While carrying concealed you are required to present ID upon request.

  • @SuperSneakySteve plainly put concealed. If you are talking about while walking down the street you don't have to show a cop any id unless they have reasonable suspicion you were part of a crime. there is no license needed for open carry. as far as in a car goes, if an officer pulls you over then you must announce that you have a ccw/cpl and are armed (btw any weapon in a vehicle not properly stored for transport is considered concealed). however, if you have a ccw/cpl and are not (con't)

  • @SuperSneakySteve carrying then you do not have to announce that you have a ccw/cpl. let me know with any further questions or clarifications

  • OMG i live in warren and the cops are such assholes

  • nice untucked shirt... are all carriers fat and dopey looking wanna be police officers?

  • am I the only onw who noticed the cop basically just drooling and saying "duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...he a big dummy" haha either way thank you for dong your part in the fight. I may not live in MI but my home state of california could take a page from your book. I'm proud to say though i haven't had ANY encounters with the police in my town despite open carrying for the last 4 months.

  • I love how the guy is open carrying while he is repealing, that is great

  • YES! I love this guy thank you Sir!

  • Fantastic work!

On behalf of an American, thank you for seeing this wrong and taking time out of your busy life to take peaceful action through the channels we have available as citizens to undo unlawful legislation and inform those in power of what our civil liberties are. Its too common in todays society that people just simply complain about things and have no action behind them.

I THANK YOU! keep it up, please.

  • Thank you open carry in Michigan for helping others like me express my gun rights. I appreciate your commitment.

  • Thanks for this. From a fellow Michigander

  • Kathy asks "so we just want to do away with these(ordinances)?" Like she has a choice. LOL

  • Whenever I see a gold fringe flag in the room I know I am in a hostile foreign land :(

  • Ha-ha to the naysayers.

  • The city fathers failed the cops in not providing enough training. (tax dollars)

The police chief failed in getting the officer enough training. Not enough (tax dollars)

City or county attorneys office did not have a person readily available to answer question.

News media failed to inform the public as to what the law is in their local.

City fathers failed to have the police explain why the cops made a mistake that could cost the city M dollars.

  • Well done.

  • I am a very progressive liberal who supports President Obama.

I am also a military veteran, and a supporter of the Constitution.

Please don't paint all "libs" with a broad brush. Many of us recognize the lack of training of the police, and the abuse of rights by untrained officers.

I believe in open carry. It's a right. Michigan Constitution, Article 1, section 6.

Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state.

  • just don't be suprised when you go into a restuarant and people call the police. the public is not trained to know this is legal. They think you might be coming to do a columbine.

  • Well that is the purpose of all of this. To educate the public. Most open carriers are not suprised when the police get called. It is a risk that you need to be aware of if you decide to OC.

It's the manner that the police conduct their stops/detainments (many of which are illegal) that is upsetting.

  • You're right. Nobody whould lump everybody into one group and portray them in a certain light just because a majority thinks/acts a particular way.

  • Does anyone know the effect that this has had on the training of the Warren PD, an d their handling of OCers?

  • good job guys. i had a lib lady here in keene nh tell me she was intimidated by all the free staters carrying openly. hopefully those people will move out of nh and liberty activists out there will move here.

  • secondamendmentmarch (dot com)

  • I'm going before my city council next month. I will have it video taped too.

  • YAY! Yippeee! ALL the females voted against the measure but they got spanked! City code abolished! Good job open carry patriots! This is the way to do it. Show them their laws are ILLEGAL and they must abolish...or get sued!

  • @futurevent

It was 4-4 until President Pro-Tem (Ms. Kamp) cast HER deciding vote in favor of the measure. So your statement is inaccurate.

  • So was it dropped from the city code book or not ? sorry I got lost?

  • "if you look up repeal in the dictionary..."

    LMAO

  • On behalf of LAWFULLY armed citizens across michigan...

    Thank you.

  • thank you

  • Well done.
