My dad was a big rail fan - Pa Ohio ny canada. I am more into listening on a scanner radio. A real treat is watching the trains and listening to the engineers and the conductors talking to the dispatcher. This is a great video. Not much rail traffic where I live in rural Pennsylvania.
The first train is going onto the Harbor Sub. It only runs down the sub for about a mile and goes into the Watson Yard. The M-BARWAT is not the only train that uses that route. There are ethanol trains based out of Watson and sometimes ethanol trains going into Watson. There is also an occasional grain train through there. Locals based out of the Watson Yard run up to Lair Port, if I remember correctly. Also, BNSF sometimes runs a stack train down the Harbor Sub, but this is quite rare.
that is a lot of hanjin containers on one of those intermodals
