@YaoiFanGirlForever Most of the clips are from SAS. Its from the animated movie that they did with Batman and Superman. I can't really remember what the eposides where called and I'm too lazy to look it up. Though Bruce getting kissed is from the New Adventures of Batman. The rest are from justice league. If you want to know a specific clip give me the times and I'll do my best to remember what I used.

The problem is that they're always toning-down Superman's powers to give the others a chance against him, since in his raw form he's simply too powerful. Sometimes he can spin the Earth backwards and change history, other times he has trouble with a chimp. Basically he's as powerful as he wants to be.

@SouthParkBear Well, here's the thing. Superman's power is always changing but that is based on the writer. Some like to power him up, but then her gets too powerful and another writer joins the superman comic and decides to tone him down because he is too powerful. They just can't seem to find a happy median and that is because there are so many different comic book writers out there and they all have their own opinion on how the characters should act.

@SouthParkBear There is Canon. There are things that all go together, but personality of characters tweak with writers. It isn't anything major. Its like you and I both writing for Superman. I may write him one way and you another, however major elements (i.e. raised by the Kents, being with Lois, and his powers) wouldn't change. Things that I may play up you may play down. It is how it goes. That is why when you read a superman comic you may think is it is or is not him fully. Its the writer.

@texasfly91 One thing that fixes the inconsistency is that Superman's flight power makes it easier to lift heavier things and fly faster just by trying harder or just depending on how super he feels that day. In the episode "Apokolips...Now!" Superman wouldn't have lost to Darksied so easily if he hadn't just put out fire on an entire island my gushing the ocean into the island's crust.

More like their canon-policy sucks, and they're only interested in maintaining consistency for the age-spread of their main target-market demographic.

So if their main purchasers are kids 9-11, consistency won't last for more than 2 years; they could care less of Comic Book Guy calls it "worst issue, EVER."

@SouthParkBear Considering Superman can be all powerful, most writers have to tone him down, or else there wouldnt be an exciting story. Sure, there could be a version of superman that can kill anything in one punch, but that wouldnt be too fun to watch, would it? Superman has such ridiculous powers that they are pretty much forced to tone him down.

@SouthParkBear exactly - it'd be nice to see him drop all reserves and use the power he really has. the guy has moved whole planets and lifted around 40 quintillion tons with one hand - obviously if he had really 'cut loose' on darkseid he'd do a hell of a lot more than send him through a few buildings- more like through a few solar systems! but he's a victim of being *too* powerful, so yeah, he's always depicted as far weaker and slower than he really is.

@SouthParkBear writers kinda covered themselves when they tone superman down. He is basically as powerful as he wants to be but he has put up natural blocks so he only need to be as powerful as he needs to be. When he fought darkseid he tells him that in everything he does he has to hold back or he could kill someone. He usually doesn't have trouble "beating" someone, he has trouble making sure he doesn't kill them. beside people like Doomsday, he tones himself down.
