I'd hardly call this shit. Rather I think this movie is one of the best. And it's part of the insperation for the matrix.

Both the original Matrix and GITS are a bit overrated, but classic cyberpunk movies.

All in all the little plot there was in this movie is overshadowed by the gunplay and (completely unneccessary) nudity.

The GiTS series: Stand Alone Complex seems to balance lots of action with some decent storylines...but it does tend to drive into the deep pool of psychology/sociology, and can sometimes seem like a preteen discussing existential angst....but all in all its a lot better than these movies
