John Mayer is amazing, its a beautiful song, it could have been soooooooo amazing.  But leave it to the sound guys to completely fuck it up. Treble too high, mix is way off, guitar is muttled, vocals disproportionate, way to go a-holes. I think MJ was rolling in his coffin 5 feet away.

I think it's great he just took the vocal melody onto the guitar. He just hit the notes, and if you close your eyes, voila: Michael. good guitar playing and a good tribute. there's no need and it would have been entirely inappropriate to modify much of anything. well done. Glad that John "Ego" Mayer did it justice (don't get me wrong, I love JM, I'm just saying, he has a well-earned ego, and here, he was appropriately subdued and respectful: good job).
