  • @mytec12345 I still don't know.

  • @mytec12345 I...don't know...

  • How do I wire my BG 12 to a Gentex Commander 3?

  • great now how do i wire up a BG-12 to a wheelock 7002T?

  • Its X AKater114

  • Where did those wires come from? the ones stemming from the pull?

  • Radio schack

  • I have just the horn. How would I wire it?

  • The wires leading up to the alarm, just connect them to the horn and you don't have to do the horn to strobe or vise versa wiring.

  • Essentially, the strobe terminals connect directly to the wires that lead into the strobe, which has its own circuitry. The siren and the strobe are two separate circuits.

BTW; 9-volt batteries are fun. I strung up 50 of them like that and got a wire and made a spark an inch or two long (use with caution! ;) )

    Also, Aphex Twin FTW!

  • Wire only one set of terminals.

  • That Should help me wire my BG-12 up to my Spectralert

  • Yeah.

  • How can i wire that combination to a fire alarm panel?

  • That wire just kept falling out :)

And if you took one battery off it wouldn't be so loud.

My MT runs off of a 9V battery for now, until it goes in my office with my Simplex strobe retrofit. Then it will run off of my 24VDC transformer.

  • I want one of those transformer things.

  • Well, the batteries are better, i found out. I hooked the transformer to my MT and it was scratchy sounding! Hooked it back to the 9V and it was fine. Odd...

  • Yeah, that is.

  • Is the transformer output AC or DC? if it's DC and scratchy, it's probably unfiltered.

  • Jeez I should read before posting, you already said it's DC :P

  • dude lol i understand i hate it when the wires dont go back in they fall out lol. and i have my edwards bell that my old school gave me when it was demolished runnig at 18 volts and yeah its LOUD!

  • My MT. I got it cause it fell on my head when I was in In School Suspension.

  • LOL, they gave u a fire alarm even though you were in, in school suspension? LUCKY, u get into trouble and end up getting a present SWEET! lol.

  • No, it fell om my head and I went to the nurses office cause I was gushing blood and the Sped teacher was like, "Do you need anything?" and I asked if I could keep the alarm and they let me cause it was loud as hell in there anyway and they didn't need it.

  • LOL really? thats cool!

  • It was.......painful.

  • do you havea pic of the alarm jw

  • What do you mean?

  • Dude, you should NOT connect the batteries directkly like that or it could explode and harm you with battery acid. You should connect the batteires in series with wire. Send me a message for me details if you need it:)

  • w/e

  • I have mine like that but a lower voltage.. Theres no way 9volt batterys could explode but under intence heat..

  • Once, I connected two of them. They got so hot.

  • Thats if you connected end to end of 2 batterys that shorts them out.

  • Yeah.

  • thanks so much

  • No problem.

  • looks like way to many batterys 9 x 4 is like way over 31 volts

  • w/e

  • YES IT'S 36 VOLTS

  • wtf you are lucky you don't fry that mt.. otherwise ur using half dead batterys

  • It takes 24 volts for the horn and 24 volts for the strobe. So, I'm using 3/4 of what I really should.

  • i dont see individual wiring there,I see that your applying 36 volts to both the horn and the strobe at the same time there is no difference.

  • OK.

  • Oh.

  • The maximum for the MT is 31VDC. You should take one battery off, because if you leave the alarm on for a while you may blow your MT. You will end up with 28V but it will work just as well, and you will feel safe that it won't blow.

  • "Blowing your MT" rofl

  • Yeah.
