  • Boobies!

  • so... is this about werewolves? this should be remade but more like the twilight series...i kid, i kid

  • This is not a film it is art.

  • They are using the music from Suddenly Last Summer!

  • press 7 for boobies

  • Every time I read "Ingmar Bergman" I automatically read it as "Ingrid Bergman". I was expecting Ingrid Bergman to be in this, lol. Ah well, Ingmar is one of the great directors, so I can't say I 'm disappointed.

  • TITS

  • Max Von Sydow is one of the greatest actors of all time. I'd say him, Rock Hudson and Tyrone Power are in the top three.

  • I remember my friend told me to turn this on at midnight and was saying it looked like a weird foreign film...

Best thing a friend's ever done for me. This was an amazingly inspirational film: made me realize that movies could have so much more dimension in them.

  • it looks sort of lynchian. i mean, the images...

  • @s0th0th No, no, Lynch is Bergmanian.

  • ……. Awesome that a Swedish stage production of this Bergman masterpiece is going to feature music composed by Karin Elisabeth Dreijer-Andersson of The Knife & Fever Ray. My head feels floaty just contemplating the thought. So? IS this a vampire story? After all, its original title was to be The Cannibals. Or, is it the tragic retelling of a man losing his mind? ~ (•8-D

  • SHUTTER ISLAND from Scorsese heavily refferences this movie. IMDB.COM does not mention any refference to this. Von Sydow palys the nazi doctor that tries to prove Di Caprio is insane.

  • whats the significance of the boy appeared in the film?

  • Cult film...!!!

  • is that ingrid thulin at 1:03 ?

  • Seems like an awesme movie, but why is it called hour of the wolf?

  • first 20 seconds tell you

  • listen to the trailer and you'll understand.

  • @Weetabix87 The Hour of the Wolf" is the hour between night and dawn. aka twilight

  • is this movie very scary?

  • @SinaSamuBill "Scary" is a rather relative term; it's been a while since I've seen it, but I'd say it is more disturbing than scary. Surreal and superb mood piece rather than a gorefest.

  • One of my favorite films of all time. Ingmar Bergman's greatest masterpiece.

  • This is an amazing film. Gems like this help make wading through mediocrity tolerable.

  • This IS Bergman's best film, his most "personal" in his own words

  • the dude becomes a victim of a satanic cutl murder

  • 1.04 - Dario Argento nicked that bit for Tenebrae!

  • Now I know where Billy Joel got the inspiration for the song of the same name. I've never seen a movie trailer with nudity like this either. Looks like a great film

  • the camera shot/setup at 1:59 is pure genius and thoroughly creepy! i love this film!

  • a horror film- Bergman style

  • Great film!Thanks for posting!

  • when movies were really real.. ;)

    lol

    c

  • i heard that, a moving picture at its most, quite powerful

  • Exelente película!! una obra maestra del cine de terror.

  • the first boob in horror history?

  • Sweet trailer.

  • My heart really got a workout when I saw this trailer. I haven't seen this one.. Maybe I should.

  • @Inyxx same, just saw the seventh seal and i love bergman

  • oh and, this is way better than any lynch movie.

  • @anvilnose ehh lets not compare the two, their both good strange directors.

  • @anvilnose I agree to an extent. I love both Lynch & Bergman, but there are only a couple of his films I'd say are as good as Bergman's film. He's a genius, & I think Hour of the Wolf is his best.

  • awesome

  • I think Stanley Kubrick's The Shining wouldn't exist if it wasn't for this movie

  • you are quite right as both persons depicted are artists, who face their own demons.this was a whole big manuscript which bergman later broke down into two films..persona and hour of the wolf..shit man what would've that been like if it was made as one movie.one of bergmans best and personal film.

  • you sure know alot about cinema, hey have you ever seen "at midnight i'll take your soul"

  • i know its kind of a cult classic in its genre but ain't seen it as its not on net..or atleast i couldn't find it anywhere...

  • yea you're not gonna find it on the net, but it's sure is a cult classic. i'm surprised you've never seen it. as you may or may not know it's part of a trilogy. the coffin joe trilogy.....uh fuck you.

  • out here you can't even get a fucking clock work orange dvd due to various problems let alone fucking coffin joe trilogy.i take all from net.rip and see.and yeah FUCK YOU

  • have you ever seen "the last house on the left"?

  • a pathetic copy of bergmans virgin springs..fuck it and fuck you too.cutting of a penis..i mean holy shieeet..too much gore to attract public..if you want class see bergmans original..fuck you

  • sounds like you don't go for the whole "shock value" thing. i've never seen virgin springs. is it based on the same true story as last house on the left? ....fucking bitch.

  • its much much better man,it got d best foreign film oscar so you can imagine for urself ..shock value intrigues you but stupid shock value promise makes you curse it afterwards..if i wanna see shock i see marilyn mansons videos..hahaha.they're genius and ofcourse SHOCKING..

  • and this movie is the same story except the class is higher and no useless gore.

  • i'll definitely keep that movie in mind. how do you feel about "night of the living dead"?

  • that movie is classic man.love it.even though when you see it now it zombies seem like a joke compared to 28 days later but still old is gold.the racial harmony undertone in the movie is a masterstroke on the social milieu of that time in my view.

  • woooow i agree completely. but im saying wow cause i could not believe what a good point you just made. and how eloquently you stated it. seriously, that kinda blew me away. "or maybe that joint i just smoked was too big". but seriously, great point. you surprised the hell out of me on that one, fag.

  • woah...don't suck on giant joints too much.they distort reality..haha..i didn't know you would be that shocked..bitch.but thats what i see in the movie.

  • so....do you have a favorite movie? and also what genre do you prefer? just curious.

  • apocalypse now and zerkalo/the mirror(russian) ...i can see any genre as according me there are only good and bad films but if i have to categorise than thriller drama/art house cinema.

  • do you feel video games are as valid an entertainment option as movies? in other words, are video games on par with movies, and if not do you think they will ever be.

  • well some of them are at par in terms of production and investment but the line always remains cause it can match in money and entertainment as fun.but emotionally and dramatically there is no match unless they start making some socially relevant games.i mean games of shooting, killing and robbing ain't exactly what it needs cause you have enough of it in movies.besides majority of people dont take games seriously.

  • and as a industry it is AT PAR with anything.its just how can you package it.if you make a game where you can be stimulated inside the game and play out a movie of your choice..well that will be groundbreaking..but i guess we'll have to wait 30-40yrs for that technology..but man that'll be fun...plus a game where you can direct a movie will sell..n u can hold contests of that.but as for now..it'll remain a few notches less due to popularity and simply lack of it in some countries.

  • would you please stop making such good points, and saying so much shit i agree with so i can talk some shit to you. ....

you must like final fantasy because it kinda blurs the line between cinema and video games "to some degree" .....or maybe not?

  • @indnameof try a croneberg film called existenz, thats what i want video games to be like

  • this movie gives me chills.

especially when ingrid thulin bursts out laughing. i love it.

  • awesome....one of my favorite bergmans...

  • Many thanks, excellent!
