  • I just join up in illinois been to 3 meeting and already love it

  • cap is a millitary regect

  • cap0100

First, it's spelled "reject." And, if you're so opposed to the organization, why would you possibly spend time seeking us out? You need to resolve your emotions and decide whether to come back to CAP or move on in your life. Whatever you got caught up in can probably be smoothed over on your return. If not and you're no longer interested in CAP, for your own sake, try to move on. These feelings will only hold you back from accomplishing your life's goals. Good luck.

  • I am leaving for MIWG encampment friday and i cant wait i wasw gonna ateend OHWG but i was in oregon for NCC i cant wait.

    C/A1C Panetta

  • Go, Go, Go I can't say it enough. Go to encampment. The first time is probably the most difficult. You'll be exhausted at the end but you'll wear the smile for weeks after. You'll learn more at the encampment than you'll learn in months of squadron meetings. It'll prepare you for you future in CAP like nothing else. Before you know it, it'll be time to register for the next year's encampment and you'll count the days. Good luck, Cadet. Semper Vigilans.

1st Lt. Bill Carson, CAP, GLR-MI-238

  • YES!!!!!!! GO!!!! It will be very hard the first few days but then it will start getting better. You will meet a bunch of great people, have alot of fun, and learn alot of cool stuff. By the end you will be saying "holy shit i cant believe i just did that, i cant wait to go back next year". I had so much fun at mine, you really should go. I am not saying it will be easy, but you will be greatly rewarded at the end of it.

  • I remember back at columbus air force base back at my old cadet encampment we were doing an air force officer interview, and then everyone was instructed not to leave the building for over three hours due to that an experimental/or classified aircraft had to make an emergency landing on the strip.

  • YEAH! LONG LIVE THE DELTA DRAGONS! lol Everyone out there in CAP NEEDS to go to encampment this year.

    John Martian,C/SrA,CAP

    Element Leader

    ALWG FMR CADET

  • So yes, the encampment is doing parade rest wrong. As said before, "but they are at ease not parade rest, so why does it even matter?" Well I'll tell you one thing, why wouldnt it matter? There is a proper way to do things, and if you do not do them properly you are doing them wrong.

You stand at ease the same way as parade rest, but you can just move around.

  • what the heck?1?!?! parade rest has ur hands lower than at ease, so dont say there the same uz ud b dead wrong. Also if ur in cap say that cuz we might do things a bit different. so just back off!

  • Also if they were at ease, some of the cadets may have chosen to move while others did not! so y the heck does it matter. they can do anything during at ease as long as they dont talk.

  • yea i'm in cap and going to encampment tommarow as a flight sergeant. I was taught that way last year, that's how my and my flight commander will teach it this year, and that's how AFMAN 36-2203 says it should be. do yourself a favor and check out page 20, it's all right there.

unless we are completley miss understanding each other, and this is a pointless interent aruguement.

  • Regarding the parade rest issue, yes swashkidus is correct, the cadets at this encampment are doing it wrong. I just looked it up in AFMAN 36-2203 page 20 and they are not doing it they way that is in the picture.

    C/MSgt Chris Sajdak

  • hey this is a cool vid but i wish it had more video but other than that it is good and so is the music and thanks for the spelling tell him i said hi hope to see you again

    C/A1c Kozicki

  • haha! nothing was posed.

as the public affairs officer in charge

my assistant and I got plenty of candid shots of exhausted cadets [and officers].

    it was entertaining.

    heh.

    gotta love New Hampshire Wing!

[I know you're not from here.]

  • hay carson we met at the car parking at the highland games that is also wear i meet your son ans daughter my flight sargent is in that squad i dont know how to spell it but all try Glecerey

    C/A1C Kozicki

    Detroit 100th squadron

  • oh hey, I thought your name sounded familiar! Hope our squadrons meet at another activity. But did you like the video I put together? Hope you did. (it took a while.) And you spell it Gloceri just in case you were wondering.

  • hey the guy who made this video what is your name cause i took my basic encampment here this year and i might know you and what is your squadron

    C/A1C Kozicki

    Detroit 100th squadron

  • I am 1st Lt Bill Carson. I am from Oakland Composite Squadron. This year at encampment I was the TAC officer for Gulf Flt

  • Im moving up to this area in a few months and hopefully I will join CAP. I really like how you guys do some rocketry stuff. I have been into rockets now for 7 years. ALso I cant wait to experience the other stuff that goes with CAP.

  • They are standing at parade rest like that because that's how we do it on CAP. We are different, so what? That's they way we do it because that's the way we haeve always done it.

  • ok i dont know if your in the military or just in CAP, but in both of the clips you have, the cadets are at ease not parade rest. even if they were at parade rest what does it matter?

  • because in CAP you have your hands right over left and your thumbs right over left with your arms down, but up like that. They were doing it like the army, and CAP is the AIRFORCE AUXILLARY, not arm

  • swashkidus: OK, I'm stumped. I took your first one as just a simple comment but with this latest entry was puzzled. For me, I can't even see whether they're R over L, L over R or even all the same. They're facing the camera! Are you in CAP, what grade and rank are you? Do you train your CG or HG? BTW the pictures were stills of ongoing movements so what you see isn't necessarily following a specific command.

  • even that they are stills there is no reason for there arms to even be up like that

  • why not your still not clear about it. you cant even see their hands

  • Nice video, but why the hell are they standing at parade rest wrong at 1:26-1:28 and 1:34-1:36
