  • @cyberelectronics thanks this helped me with my school project :)

  • @MaliciouStardragon You're welcome :)

  • Cu ce ai taiat plexiglass-ul?

  • @logicmindtube Cu un bomfaier mic, dupa care l-am slefuit.

  • Are you using silicone sealant for the acrylic joints? That's not usually too strong of bond.

  • @early1991baby Yes. I have no problem with silicone sealant.

  • @cyberelectronics Hydrogen Chloride also known as Plexicolle is a rather effective way of soldering plexiglass together, make miracles soldering almost any plastics in fact.

  • hi! how can I do to make bubles more uniform? I do a tank but the bubles are over a side; I think that I do the holes so big :P and I alrady paste all with silicon :P

  • Works only with tiny holes.

  • @cyberelectronics so I ruined; but I have a last chance If I use the air pumper of the school in 5 psi :P

  • Bubble wand, avail at pet stores. The bigger diameter ones produce more and finer bubbles, even finer than an airstone. They come in lengths up to 14", and about 1/2" diameter. I believe they are made from plastic. They do NOT dissolve in ferric/cupric chloride, as will air stones. These are perfect for cupric tanks, as they provide more aeration, in addition to agitation. Also, finer bubbles means less overspray, so you can fill your tank higher.

  • Great job! I made a similar container after I watched your video. Thanks.

  • You should absolutely be wearing gloves!

  • @hungrymouths I never use gloves when I make a PCB with FeCl :P

  • Awesome job! I didn't think you could etch with so thin a tank, but obviously you can

  • nice, but i usu a cheap non stick frying pan to "cook" PCBs, works pretty well. Never tried with FeCl3 (i usu Ammonium persulfate which is less nasty).

  • Yeap, the FeCl3 is nasty.

I think, the best solution is:

    - buying PCBs copper with photoresist

    - developing with Sodium Metasilicate (ex: Seno 4007)

    - etching with Ferric Chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3*6H2O)

    - or sodium persulfate Na2S2O8 (Ex: B327 the Best ! )

  • Nice, this is genius! A thin, vertical tank is sooo much better than the hortizontal pans or buckets that some other people use - wastes way too much etchant. Very nice design with the tank! I think I may construct mine in a very similar way too! I like the drainage port too - very handy!

  • saweet... and good music ^^

  • Ferric Chloride is actually FeCl3, not FeCl. Still, nice tank.
