I remember playing this all the time when I was a kid. I wish I still had this game. :( Back before graphics and online play became the key features in games.
You can still find it the creator Al Lowe has it posted to his website along with other titles he did while at Sierra whose copyright has expired or haven't gone over to Vivendi(Leisure suit Larry) after they bought Sierra
Yes, the cauldron touching him did turn him into a frog.
And thanks for the sentiment. I've never actually "gone" it's just I have a new job and time is tight for me now. I am, however, in the process of gathering the deaths for Quest for Glory V.
The bad endings are a ridiculous waste of potential, but the skeleton thing (2:25-) is great in theory. Even though gaming has an obsession with evil plans to gain unstoppable armies or ultimate power, few - if any - baddies are faced when they're visibly in the process of gaining those things. ("Just before," "just after" and "during but with no actual signs of a process except for ridiculously high stats" are more popular alternatives.) Such a climax in a better game would be awesome.
(4:24 ) A pot of gold. Seriously?!

Yeah, the deaths were lame, but the game was alright for its time.

Also, considering it was intended for a younger audience, what did you expect?

i like how the sad music turns happy at 3:03 . lol.
I used to play this game when it first came out. I liked sierra before they canned all the good writers and went 'mainstream"

i'd have to say, the game would've been better if Sierra had waited a while before making it.

A lame game based off of a lame movie.
The books were excellent.
The movie just botched the books' plot to high hell.
The movie is named after book 2, but the movie takes place in book 1... then steals the cauldron from book 2.
Ugh. Well, thank you for enduring this game, which I've never even heard of, actually.
