What a sad story....Poor little bird. I wish people would take him in-robins are such sweet birds AND FOR THE RECORD-Birds do not have strong sense of smell, they do not care if people touch their babies, as long as people put them back in exact same spot!!!!! We know for a fact, because we took in three baby robins, about 6 days old, this summer, because of ongoing construction. However, we called them "visitors"-we returned them in few hours of taking care. Mom and Dad robins took over

We soaked his egg in warm water until the dry yolk let go of his skin and we could peel away the shell enough so he could stretch out his neck and be able to eat. His mom took him back and cleaned him up, but his siblings smothered him, they were so huge and he was so little.
