Some of the comments below are disturbing...as one of the people who participated in this PSA, i'd only wish that those who have preconceptions about stem cells, choose to look at the larger picture and how this critical point in scientific history, could prove to be the turning point for us as a species... you can't hold back the progression of science or social progress, so why not be on the forefront?

I wish activists from both sides would stop trying to shove their beliefs down the throats of others. Give people facts that can be backed by empirical proof, and stop spouting off theories that are nothing more than wishful thinking. The data is there to support adult stem cell research because it actually shows signs of being successful. Adult Stem Cells have the huge advantage of not being rejected by the bodies immune system because they can be taken directly from the patient. The downsides are that they take a longer time to grow into a specific cell. By the time they actually grow enough the patient could be dead already. Embryonic stem cell use is not murder. Stem cells multiply fast and even if one is taken it will be replaced soon. Embryonic stem cells grow faster, are easier to find, but can be rejected by the immune s
