  • Nice machine! I will certainly get one of these as soon as I can afford it. I have one question though... How do you make sure that the first and last "pass" will be exactly equidistant to each other? I guess this has more to do with the diameter of the blank.

  • I never use drill bits, those are end mills and we also use engraving bits.  I don't think there is any flex in the tool holder, there is very little force on it.

  • Nice work - I respect anyone who makes their own tools like this! Some suggestions/questions:

    1) Looks like you're using a standard drill bit in the dremel. I would think an ball end end mill, or 45 degree engraving bit would cut more smoothly?

    2) At the opening of the video it looks like there was some flex in the plexiglass assembly holding the dremel - should that be more rigid?

  • that is a great idea u could improve it or make another product that is also a mini lathe so that u can do evry step of making the pen on the pen wizard
