HALO 4 HAS TO KICK ASS THIS 2012. look since ODST came out everybody looked away from the halo. The story in Reach sucked some parts showing the pillar of autumn before take off was nice multiplayer was my favorite. But coming back to the original story Halo 4 im thinking new vehicles new weapons new HUD and new engine just hope it doesn't disappoint. Tough job for 343
Halo reach did NOT suck..... It's been the best multiplayer yet in the series, they have added new features, new maps, new weapons, new vehicles and a new engine!!! They balanced tons of things out. Reach is the best one yet in my opinion.
Everything you say it right! I've been playing Halo since the very beginning and I hated Reach. Halo 2 and 3 had the best multiplayers! If Halo 4 uses the Reach style than I'll also be declaring Halo dead.

I bought the map pack for reach because I didn't feel like getting the game itself (maybe when it comes down in price I will get it, idk), and I am actually really enjoying it. It removes a lot of bullshit from reach, it does feel a lot like CE and it doesn't have armor abilities so no need to complain about that, no lag or any other problems. I'm really having a blast with it. Don't knock it untill you try it.

Ugh, I haven't played this game yet but it looks terrible... to this day I still play halo ce on pc and this just puts it to shame. Ever since they released Reach, I had to return to Halo 3. I understand they tried to make it look cooler and new mechanics with the perks and the physics with the melee, grenades and such but, Reach ruined Halo. I played it for about a week, wasted my money for shittier weapons and maps and getting OP'd because of the perks. Went straight back to Halo 1,2, and 3.
Yes the COD style that they put into Halo Reach was horrible. That's not what Halo was about. All I wanted was a pistol and a rifle. If you could pick up the load outs in the game play that's one thing but for it to imitate COD was plain horrible.

Sigh. Halo reach anniversary is a remake of an old classic that everyone seems to love. The campaign now has a multiplayer which is an improvement. The game itself is standalone, but as an added bonus you also get a map-pack for halo reach. May I remind you that no self respecting fan would have the anniversary but not any other game. I have the original, And I'm fine with that multiplayer. I'm sure that reach players will feel the seems way as they nostalgia all over the maps.

@TFTN1Halo Reach online is bad the story was done bad but some times its fun to play it Halo 3 story was bad and online and forge was done vary bad I don't want to look like a dick but Halo 3 was the worst Halo out of them all now it be fine if map editors was new but it is not forge to Far Cry's map editor well Far Cry's still makes Halo forge look like shit only if the new Halo had a map editor like Far Cry's. Again Halo CE and Halo 2 was the best but Bungie had to fuck up.

Halo CEA was great to me, mainly because I played the first game when it came out and loved it. It got me into FPS games. And seeing it remastered brought back a lot and I found myself stopping to look around and switching from old to new over and over again. It didn't disappoint me at all. And I dont mind the maps being added to reach, though I wish they had done ALL of the maps. not just select few. I understand why they put it on reach and don't blame them. I think its a good start for 343.
@MeadeJ67 Also, being a long time fan I actually enjoy Reach. I understand that some people really dislike it, and I'll be honest, I did too for some time. It wasn't the Halo I had come to know and love, but after playing it for awhile I started to warm to it. It's not all too different, its still Halo at heart and actually a really great game. But if you loved Halo 3 (as i did) then it does take a little getting used to.

I have so many memories playing 1v1s every day after school with my neighbor for and entire year before i got xbox live and once i got live i could play for ever because the multiplayer was so good. Reach is toy. So many errors. Beatdown mechanics, rocket splash, sniper headshot box, map symmetry non existent in 70% of maos, loadouts, bloom. ONLY 60 k people online. TROLLLOLOL. They want the full experience of Halo combat evolved on halo anniversary, which means same campaign and Home LAN games, back then you needed to invite friends over to play they want that back, and the map packs on halo reach so you can play that online if all you want we're the maps that's why halo AN. Needed to be on the same engine as reach, and the campaign movements and looks match halo

I did not know what it was a about reach, but custom games were never as crazy and funny and multiplayer just did not have the halo 2 and 3 feel.
I also thought although outdated the halo 3 graphics tried to be realistic which was really good but the reach graphics sucked because they were really cartooney.

"Reskinning maps" Halo 3 did the same thing for a few Halo 1 and 2 maps and Halo 3's map packs were just remastered maps. The 7 maps are add ons for Reach but the campaign was remastered as the people actually announced. Actually, I just got this game and played it, and you do NOT need Halo: Reach to play the map packs online. It automatically has a Reach simulation built into the CE disc, so you do not need to buy anything else. It just means that there are 2 different menus on the same game.
Mkay.....idk if its just me.......but when I go get the map pack in the Reach menu its says it costs -1 MS points. Then when I click on it it says my balence is too low because it really costs; 4294967295 f-ing MS points.

343 annouced that you don't need to own reach to play the 7 multiplayer maps. You can just access multiplayer through halo anniversary. But, if you do have reach you can use the download code for Reach. The reach engine is put into the halo anniversary so you don't have to download the code.
why dont they do it just like they have done, with the graphic update in the campaign and the map pack for reach, aswell as a completly graphical update for all the halo 1 multiplayer maps. i would happily pay the current price for that, and that way everybody is happy

Well, the reason they used the Reach server is so that they wouldnt drain players from Reach's multiplayer just like Reach did to Halo 3, but I agree that they should have released ALL of the original maps from CE.
Hey i agree that halo reach was a bit of a dissapointment but come'on. If you truly are a good gamer you would be able to adapt to any game, especially since halo reach is much easier to play than halo3. In halo 3 i used to go only about 7-15 kills a game. Now i average about 12-20 kills a game. And also some people have never got the chance to play combat evolved so to them it is a new game, you have to take into comsideration that times change and the new genaration is the one that game produ
please if you were making the games that they were making they have to burn package and print billions of copies of games cases and booklets and they have to make a large enough profit to cover the cost of production shipping and putting there time into the game and when you think about what they are doing it is very smart

For the most part I agree with you. I don't hate halo reach but I'm disappointed that Halo CEA is not gonna be a stand alone title. If I wanted to play reach I'll just pop in my reach game to my xbox. If they want to do a remake then do a remake with updated graphics with the same engine and Halo CE

I like all halo games and I think halo reach is great. But I totally agree with halo anniversary. It is a shit, it is way to expensive and it has really nothing new: well-known campaign by all halo 1 players ( I started playing at 5 yrs old, now I am 12) and the halo reach multiplayer but 6 new maps. I hope halo 4 wont use reach engine. I am going to stop buying any halo game if they will use the reach engine or if they will make the story be exactly as any other halo game.

Halo CEA was great to me, mainly because I played the first game when it came out and loved it. It got me into FPS games. And seeing it remastered brought back a lot and I found myself stopping to look around and switching from old to new over and over again. It didn't disappoint me at all. And I dont mind the maps being added to reach, though I wish they had done ALL of the maps. not just select few. I understand why they put it on reach and don't blame them. I think its a good start for 343.

It wasn't the Halo I had come to know and love, but after playing it for awhile I started to warm to it. It's not all too different, its still Halo at heart and actually a really great game. But if you loved Halo 3 (as i did) then it does take a little getting used to.

Halo 3 was the greatest game ive ever played and ever will play. I have so many memories playing 1v1s every day after school with my neighbor for and entire year before i got xbox live and once i got live i could play for ever because the multiplayer was so good. Its a shame to see such a small population on such a great game.

They want the full experience of Halo combat evolved on halo anniversary, which means same campaign and Home LAN games, back then you needed to invite friends over to play they want that back, and the map packs on halo reach so you can play that online if all you want we're the maps that's why halo AN. Needed to be on the same engine as reach, and the campaign movements and looks match halo

I did not know what it was a about reach, but custom games were never as crazy and funny and multiplayer just did not have the halo 2 and 3 feel.
I also thought although outdated the halo 3 graphics tried to be realistic which was really good but the reach graphics sucked because they were really cartooney.
Im not hating reach, its a great game, it just was not as fun for me, but im not forcing anyone to agree with me

I have been a huge fan of halo since halo 2 and I think Reach was a great game, so not all of us long-time fans hated reach. But I do agree with the fact that the anniversary is a huge disappointment. Let us all hope that 343 doesn't make the halo series into a group of games rated E10.

"Reskinning maps" Halo 3 did the same thing for a few Halo 1 and 2 maps and Halo 3's map packs were just remastered maps. The 7 maps are add ons for Reach but the campaign was remastered as the people actually announced. Actually, I just got this game and played it, and you do NOT need Halo: Reach to play the map packs online. It automatically has a Reach simulation built into the CE disc, so you do not need to buy anything else. It just means that there are 2 different menus on the same game.

343 annouced that you don't need to own reach to play the 7 multiplayer maps. You can just access multiplayer through halo anniversary. But, if you do have reach you can use the download code for Reach. The reach engine is put into the halo anniversary so you don't have to download the code.

Hey i agree that halo reach was a bit of a dissapointment but come'on. If you truly are a good gamer you would be able to adapt to any game, especially since halo reach is much easier to play than halo3. In halo 3 i used to go only about 7-15 kills a game. Now i average about 12-20 kills a game. And also some people have never got the chance to play combat evolved so to them it is a new game, you have to take into comsideration that times change and the new genaration is the one that game produ

I like all halo games and I think halo reach is great. But I totally agree with halo anniversary. It is a shit, it is way to expensive and it has really nothing new: well-known campaign by all halo 1 players ( I started playing at 5 yrs old, now I am 12) and the halo reach multiplayer but 6 new maps.
