  • We need this again. Please. What's out there now can't hold a candle to Nancy or any other singer of her generation and style!

  • Classic Nancy... Awesome!!!

  • Love it!

  • There is an original video of Nancy Wilson doing this song with all three of the original Emotions standing on the staircase behind her featuring the great Sheila Hutchinson picking up the vocal fills toward the end of the song just as she did so classically on their original version...

  • Bobby Caldwell does a great cover of this song too.

  • Discovered "sweet Nancy" in 1966 while browsing in a record store. Picked up a copy of "Tender Loving Care" and have been in love with her ever since. I was thrilled to see her in concert in 1976. A truly elegant lady with incredible stage presence. One in a million!

  • I like how everything's all sepia toned

  • Simply Heavenly !!!

I LOVE ME SOME NANCY WILSON !!!

  • Lovely!!

  • Can't stop watching this over and over. I'm in love with the way she breaks her voice, with ease and power at the same time. And she sings with such precision and confidence, I'd buy whatever she's selling and believe whatever she's teaching. This song was my first introduction to Nancy Wilson. I Loved it when I was in the 7th grade and love it even more now.

  • that's a singing woman right there....

  • Talk about a singing actress! From the beginning she was way, way ahead of the game as an artist. Focused, self-confident, intelligent (oh, SO intelligent), pledged to high standards and no phoney baloney about her EVER! Still gorgeous, too!

  • Man i love dat growl she did on 2:04....great job Miss Nancy

  • It's funny, Before I read any of the comments on this gem of a tune, one word came to mind....that's right, Class. It's nice to be in good company;-]

  • Comment removed

  • i've only seen this video maybe all of three or four times since it was made as it didn't get a lot of airplay, which is criminal. an absolutely gorgeous remake and to have wanda and jeanette hutchinson of the original emotions along with phillip bailey of earth wind and fire backing her, in a word, awesome!

  • @bradleyhensley i couldn't agree more....nancy wilson is the epitome of class!

  • Every time I hear this song I get goosebumps. This is what you call real music. Mrs. Wilson is a force to be reckoned with. But to see her in person is something totally different.

  • I do prefer her when she abandons the MoR songbook for more Soulfully-jazzy tracks such as this. A lovely song anyway, done by a couple of people after the Emotions original.

What a contrast to the constant, appallingly thoughtless sampling of many contemporary so-called "artists", who can't hold a candle to real and lasting talent.

  • classy classy classy

  • it was a great score finding this video

  • She is the definition of Class and Elegance!

  • Now THIS is a GILF!!!! Go 'head Miss Nancy!!!

  • @thejoisey82 GILF? Naw man, just enjoy the music, LOL!

  • CLASS it is.

  • I wonder what show and what year this is? It is such a nice rendition of the song. And check out her "background singers," stars themselves. I love it!

  • This song is so sweet.

  • Work it...and this is one of my favorites. Love the Emotions so much...thanks for posting this!

  • Oh my goodness! I haven't seen that video and heard that song for years. I've always, ALWAYS LOVED Ms Nancy Wilson. ALL MY LIFE! She just wonderful. From the time I was a boy back in the 1960s up to now as a grown man. She always has been classy, always will be classy....forever!

    PKW

  • one word, CLASS. Which is what we lack today. I'm out.

  • word

  • straight up, my Uncle introduced me to Ms Nan when I was younger, a true gift to me now that he is gone, died early, will see him in Heaven though, so when I listen to her, it makes me think of him,

  • that's sweet :)

  • Nippybabi you are right they did do an excellent version but I guess youtube took it down a couple of weeks ago because it's not on here anymore.

  • This magnificent woman is from another planet.

She gives me goose bumps every time I hear her do a slow burn like this one.

  • The lady has class and style whenever she sings a song. Is that Phillip Bailey from EWF and two of the Emotions backing Ms. Nancy Wilson. If so they did a great job.

  • Yes it is Phillip Bailey and the Emotions.

  • only nancy wilson..no others come close with this tune

  • Wow, she's really attractive! Hi Nancy!

  • tisha campbell martin and tishina arnold did a version and its just as good!!!!! they r talented

  • That's what dreamy performances are made of!!

  • I agree with lygmd2008 -- sorry cigil77 -- I only know Nancy's version. She's THE BEST! This is one of my favorite songs.

  • I love Nancy Wilson and I love her version of the song BUT only NOBODY does it better than THE EMOTIONS!!

  • Nonsense, it all has to do with you are used to. If people only know the Nancy Wilson version they would probably dislike the emotions performance. In all fairness, the Emotions lose this one, they're simply several levels lower than this magic lady.

  • This is my favorite Nancy Wilson song.I love her voice. A gift to jazz
