Everyone whining about the liver is dumb. He isn't kicking one side, he is kicking in the middle of the ribcage, with the force directed to the right side (liver). He isn't kicking the left side of the ribs. It is not a good representation, but it is correct.

he isnt kicking on one side, he kicks in the middle (stomach area sorta)...the shin hits where the liver is

You can't kick with the shin in Savate, only with the foot. The video-representation here is badly done a hit in that way wouldn't be regular.
