I have been to the states a few times and as a wheelchair user have also had the checks in that glass box, but i have never felt humiliated or abused in any way, they have always been polite,kind and explained what they were doing as they were doing it.

I have a spinal cord injury and travel frequently. I have to explain why I need gel (for using catheters) out in the public area and most of the time it's taken to a supervisor and I have to explain and beg them to let me keep it because without it I can't pee and can't get any at the airport. Then I have my whole body patted down, even by breasts and under me before having my wheelchair swabbed for explosive residue and my guide/service dog patted down. All out in the middle of the public area
I just had my own bad experience with the little Hitlers in Dallas. Two "women", screaming at 3 wheelchair bound passengers after the long 11 hour flight from Buenos Aires. There is absolutely no justification for hiring these abusive personalitys. Unfortunately, I have to make the trip often or I would boycott the airlines and stop flying.

I started this Meetup for the purpose of protesting the TSA,. I am asking all Americans to cease all leisure or discretionary air travel by or before the week of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I have a spinal cord injury and travel frequently. I have to explain why I need gel (for using catheters) out in the public area and most of the time it's taken to a supervisor and I have to explain and beg them to let me keep it because without it I can't pee and can't get any at the airport. Then I have my whole body patted down, even by breasts and under me before having my wheelchair swabbed for explosive residue and my guide/service dog patted down. All out in the middle of the public area

Outrageous. But sadly, we are the ones allowing it to happen. Boycott airlines and soon they will change. There are other methods to detect metal and explosives that are non-invasive and don't humiliate people.
