I really hope that 4 months later you've changed your mind. I'm all for people having their own opinions but that really seems to border on blindhating. Batman breaks a guys legs to get to the Joker, smashes Jokers face into bulletproof glass and beats him to pieces, then almost lets him fall about 25 stories from a building. Also compromises his morals by creating that sonar using all the cellphones.
Some of it was subtle darkness but with Batman it shouldnt be any other way. Love to hear back!

The punisher is like batman. And jigsaw is like the joker. People don't realize this but Batman has more in common with the Punisher then he would with Iron man or spiderman. And jigsaw reminds me of John from Saw when he said "lets play a game." But Batman is more of a dark antihero type. As supposed to Iron Man who's more a happy type kind of superhero. They never had any tragedy in their lives. Plus this isn't the kind of movie you take your kids to as supposed to Xmen.
The punisher and Batman are not even close. First Batman has no guns, does not kill people (unless nessesary) and the only thing that is remotly common about the two is that they have a dark past and do their business at night.

This movie and the Thomas Jane Punisher were both good in their own ways.
2004 Punisher was more of a psychological drama that involved him messing with his enemy's head. More in the tradition of movies like Darkman.
2008 Punisher was just a violent slasher/action movie in a more Blade mixed with say Friday the 13th feel to it in terms of violence.
Also..people seem to complain that Jigsaw is corny? Why, because he has a NY accent?

Dominic West, is Jigsaw and as for the old Punisher that would be Dolph Lundgren not Tom Jane. Jane was in the 2nd Punisher movie.

man,dis is bull!!!dey completely made dis up.jigsaw is the son of the saints guy,soap get kidnapped,bushwacker gets killed,the gnucci operationsand the russians and yakuza[only part] gets killed,the russian returns and punisher kills jigsaw.thats the origianal story line.but scince its 2 long,dey made dis story up.

The punisher and batman are the same in everyway, their arch enemy is psychotic, Jigsaw is like joker. they both were created the same way. But the olnly difference is that batman wo't kill anyone...on purpose and the punisher will.

The punisher is like batman. And jigsaw is like the joker. People don't realize this but Batman has more in common with the Punisher then he would with Iron man or spiderman. And jigsaw reminds me of John from Saw when he said "lets play a game." But Batman is more of a dark antihero type. As supposed to Iron Man who's more a happy type kind of superhero. They never had any tragedy in their lives. Plus this isn't the kind of movie you take your kids to as supposed to Xmen.

The punisher and Batman are not even close. First Batman has no guns, does not kill people (unless nessesary) and the only thing that is remotly common about the two is that they have a dark past and do their business at night.
