  • Absolute BULL@#$%! The number of people who can do Jessica's job is greater than the number of people who can do Jack's job.Jack's job, being more demanding,no doubt required Jack to pursue at least one specialised degree and an apprenticeship.Jessica's job likely did not.Jack's job will likely require him to delay starting a family many years after Jessica does, and will place more stress on his family. And if Jack were a ditch-digger,Jessica would very much resent his pay being equal to hers.

  • ROFL please stop with the misleading video's.

  • There is no pay gap...this has already been debunked.

  • This makes no sense at all. One of them managed construction projects and one was a human resources manager. Two different set of skills, two different jobs and two different wages, Of course they're going to have different career opportunities. Is this a fucking joke?

  • LoL, wow propaganda much? The video says they have different jobs and then says that stereotypes keep women with the same skills as men down, hypocrisy within the video, wow. And besides, equal pay for different work makes no sense. If "jessica" screws up in HR? More paperwork. If "Jack" screws up? People die because a crane falls on them. Wtf this is just as bad as nazi propaganda back in the 30's.

  • Well this was the best movie about making a stereotypically selective comparison based on the averaging of numbers.

Here's a spoiler for the Director's Cut, though: Jack dies in the end. And 6.5 years later, Jessica dies as well.

  • who cares about this feminist shit. men are working in more productive areas than women.

  • @TheThh Yup and the are battling to have their cake and to eat yours too. As they take more time off, work less hours, work in less severe work places and do less capable tasks. So if they get it I'm going to question this whole equality/victim card approach they are still try to play nonstop.

  • Substituting discrimination for government sponsored discrimination. Well done!

  • Carrier opportunities are the same. Your income is fully dependent on your personal qualities and motivation.

  • Absolutely a feminists myself and I dont disagree, but I want to add that prejudice runs further. Not enough time is spent invetigating accents and dialects to which to me is the last great prejudice (See W.Labov). It's still also about who you know and how much of a mug you are willing to be - by that I mean you better not ever admit to being in a union or ever rely on it.

Women face all this too - for example women are judge even more so on how they speak than men.

  • I call bs and propaganda. Women live longer and have more opportunities in life than men currently. There are less women than men born, so a bunch of guys will always be left alone for no-one to care about. Men need to pay up for women during their short lives, after which the woman inherits the house, the car etc. And 60% of graduates are women, women do less suicides (less stress) and are in less dangerous jobs (less accidents). Being a woman in this century is so much easier than being a man.

  • @PahaLukki your wrong on onlie 1 thing, lonelie men kuz thehre arr aktuallie less men, the nummbers balance out after all the men die on the things you mentioned ^^ but theh still go lonlie

  • I am sure if the EU had a referendum on this it would be close. Women who are not even interested in working full time would still vote for 'artificial equality'. Heck, my wife couldn't wait till I started earning 3 times her salary. First thing she did was retire and go on a shopping spree.

This brings me to the next point, should a woman nurse be paid the same as a male surgeon? For your information, my sister is becoming a surgeon. We have equality! Say no to artificial equality!

  • This despicable propaganda sums up the EU.

Social marxist policies for the consumer morons while the political circles grab the power and money.

Make everbody a mixed up economic digit..all .Lives to be valued only through money,

    - not family, community, culture history or Nationhood.

NOT ONE WORD about Womans careers being affected by the their demands as Mothers!

Meanwhile 25% of women born in the 60s are childless- the EuroBirthrate at suicIdal levels.

    FIGHT THIS VILE EU. PROPAGANDA!

  • ha ha this is booolshet!

  • This video is a hoax. Because there is no gender pay gap. There are however pay gaps because some people work more hours than others. Also, some people are more productive than others.

  • @san77vb yes, and the number of hours worked has absolutely nothing to do with the person who hires, writes the schedule, isn't stigmatized for taking time off (or when men aren't given pregnancy leave so their FEMALE spouse can STAY at work). "Jack" didn't just "pick" his job and do you really think women "choose" to get shafted economically by men. you're a pathetic lot.

  • This video is starting from a heterogeneous comparison. It's impossible to compare different jobs. Maybe we can find a pay gap for the same position or job, but not with different ones. This video is not rigorous at all...

  • @yogentleman Maybe is it "advertising"?

  • Lol@this video.

That has nothing to do with whether it is a man or a woman.

He picked the better paying job, so he gets paid more.

If "Jessica" was working the job that "Jack" was working, and Jack was working the job that Jessica was working, then Jessica would be the higher earner.

  • Isn't this a party-political viewpoint?

I mean: in my country it's evident that women don't even want to work as long and as hard as men. Female friends with very good salaries (equal to men) decide to quit when the first child is born, never to return to a full-time profession. "Three days in a week is fine for me; I don't want this hassle and I like my freetime."

You can raise the salary of women, but it won't make women work longer. And then it's been a bit of a waste. No?

  • @upstalsboom there might be some cases which are likes this but most women aren't equal paid before they leave and if they return they even get less. Another point is that even today in most western countries it's normal that women quit their job after the baby is born. I think that is also some kind of discrimination against all the women who would like to continue their career but have to leave due to social urge

  • @flo780 You're right that there are women who face such discrimination and we should debate how to solve that. But in that respect I'd suggest you to replace "in most western countries" in your 2nd sentence by "anywhere in the world except a few countries".

Why there are plenty of successful women who would humiliated and insulted, when they are "positively discriminated"? Please also watch this video: watch?v=JGSTBtTQTnk

I can't give birth; please help to bridge this gender gap!

  • @upstalsboom

Exactly. This propaganda is not just a party political viewpoint but it is undemocratic as everything in the EU. because it is social engineering enforced by a sinister unelected marxist programme to destroy our Nations and family values.

    This is seriously vile propaganda!!
