Absolutely a feminists myself and I dont disagree, but I want to add that prejudice runs further. Not enough time is spent invetigating accents and dialects to which to me is the last great prejudice (See W.Labov). It's still also about who you know and how much of a mug you are willing to be - by that I mean you better not ever admit to being in a union or ever rely on it.

Women face all this too - for example women are judge even more so on how they speak than men.

I call bs and propaganda. Women live longer and have more opportunities in life than men currently. There are less women than men born, so a bunch of guys will always be left alone for no-one to care about. Men need to pay up for women during their short lives, after which the woman inherits the house, the car etc. And 60% of graduates are women, women do less suicides (less stress) and are in less dangerous jobs (less accidents). Being a woman in this century is so much easier than being a man.

I mean: in my country it's evident that women don't even want to work as long and as hard as men. Female friends with very good salaries (equal to men) decide to quit when the first child is born, never to return to a full-time profession. "Three days in a week is fine for me; I don't want this hassle and I like my freetime."

You can raise the salary of women, but it won't make women work longer. And then it's been a bit of a waste. No?

Another point is that even today in most western countries it's normal that women quit their job after the baby is born. I think that is also some kind of discrimination against all the women who would like to continue their career but have to leave due to social urge
