i did my labret yesterday myself and its swelled up heaps but it has the inside of my lip like urs but the bar is longer than the usual one so i assume its just cause its swollen and my sis got hers done by me yesterday as well and her lip aparently isnt swollen but is the same so im not sure

@Ms7687 yes, change it to a bigger kind of one, i have angel bites, and my labret, i pierced my labret myself, and i then had my lip swell up to 5x its regular size after i got bigger size loop things, and i put it through the swelling went down, so yes.. get a hoop.. hope this helps!! :)

it's normal for it to hurt and swell and be uncomfortable. LENGTH is different than guage...but they shouldve given you a longer bar.

@GigiBabeee You need to go back to your piercer. They will have the best advice for you. And if the jewelry needs to be changed... they can do that for you. Piercings are sore after having them done... any piercing is like that. I hope you have gone back since you posted this.. And... gauge has nothing to do with length.. it is the diameter of the jewelry. :)

when I got my labret (luh-BRAY btw) done in April, my lip swelled preeetty bad, it's normal...it's not that it was getting rejected. Bur he really shoulda put a much much longer bar in to compensate for the swelling. it looks great though!! I don't know any other girls with a labret. :)
