Very much obliged, @dudewithasock ! I had a feeling it was the same corridor, but since they didn't start the series with a House Hunters: Winterfell, I couldn't be sure. ;) Thanks!
I didn't want him to die. He was a good villianlike character. He is like Wormtail/tongue only more golden....? idk, but i was hoping he would stay around for awhile to be a mjr annoyance. but! loved the way he died! Danny is badass!
@29Proteus Kristen was unable to make the reviews every week so we had to do them without her but she will take part in a new TV podcast we're going to try out and she's going to voice her opinions about Game Of Thrones there.
I just started reading the first book and I am amazed at how much the series mirrors the book scene by scene word for word. I understand the minor changes for tv and it doesn't hurt it at all! Love it!
I only have two words for this episode...Absolutely Amazing! I've seen episode 7 (thank you HBO GO) and all I can say is that this episode sets things up perfectly!
I frickin' loved this episode! Dany is, without question, my favourite. She is making sweet, sweet lemonade out of a big pile of lemons, and I love her for it. Roth, as somebody who read the books, can you explain the 'three eyed raven' that keeps showing up in Bran's dream sequences, & what is down that corridor guarded by stone wolves? Or will it's meaning be revealed later? I can't wait for next week!!!
@rhythmiclullaby Sadly, we can't because I have Time Warner and they don't have a deal with HBO to use HBOGo and so I have to wait and probably one of the few that have to.
I don't think Kings Landing or The Dothraky are more or less savage, one is just more obvious. Also, the Dothraky are cultural bad guys, much like the Vikings or Mongols.
Got to say, I loved the scene with the gold crown. Though I was a little surprised that it killed him. I thought he might just be a cripple.
So Roth, you've read the books before, I'm wondering if you think it's better because you are now seeing it come to life or is it worse because you kind of know what is going to happen?
@JaiMac28 I was kind of hoping that they'd throw him out as a cripple and he'd return latter in the show, having somehow gotten his act together, to take his revenge. Adding another element to the ensuing storm.
@Disthron oh no. no one would survive that molten gold. I use to weld and i had a small droplet of molten iron burned straight though skin and flesh of my palm... it wasnt a pleasent feelin at all knowing that the molten droplet was cooling and solidifying in the palm of your hand...x(
@upwdat Well he was supposedly a "dragon" and we saw how his sister wasn't burned by the fire. Honestly the thing that surprised me the most is that the gold melted in the first place. Is gold really that easy to melt? I was thinking it might be like how all things have a lower melting point in fantasy settings. Like how Frodo and Sam were able to some how survive on a rock surrounded by running lava.
@walsh1916. Easy mistake, he dresses all in black. You first saw him in the inn when Catelyn captures Tyrion. He had my favorite line in the series so far. Give me ten good men and some climbing spikes and ill impregnate the bitch.
im on the dane...don't know the correct spelling but im on that train :P shes awesome!!!!

In my opinion I don't think that Tyrion was witty in the Eary but just lucky that Bronn stuck up for him.

Bronn, the man who fought to free Tyrion, is not of the night's watch. He is just a common fighter.

@walsh1916 Ok cool, he just looked like the guy from the night's watch and that's why I thought he fought for Tyrion.
