The music in 3 was just about as good as the music in 2, in all honesty. 3 had an EPIC soundtrack, hands down the greatest handheld soundtrack EVER. Yasunori Shiono REALLY outdid himself here.
@SinReVi The DS version and TLR are the reigning champs for this fan! Heheh. I would love to see TLR remade next, because it truly got shafted during its development, and it's so good that it deserves more attention and should be on a more powerful platform.
@Jazzypants2007 Are you talking about Lufia: CotS or TLR? I found CotS's dialogue to be great, but not for everyone. It was extremely generic JRPG dialogue. TLR's dialogue couldn't be helped because it was on the GameBoy, really. I went in with really low expectations, though, so that's definitely why I was blown away by this game.
@HaganeSteel TLR. I'm in FULL agreement with you on Curse's dialogue, it was EXTREMELY well-written and made the characters feel more like just that: characters.
As far as expectations for TLR, I honestly went in with high expectations. Being on the Game Boy Color doesn't mean the game's going to suck. There are plenty of great handheld RPGs out there. Plus I had played the fuck out of Lufia 2 beforehand. I expected something MINDBLOWING. For the most part, TLR succeeded. It was a great game.
@Jazzypants2007 ...It just had some fairly crappy dialogue. Everything else was top-notch though, and it FELT like a worthy successor to Rise of the Sinistrals. It felt like Lufia 3, so I always refer to it as Lufia 3 rather than by its official name since, y'know, it IS 3.
That would be truly epic! To have this game remade! Great story, great characters, great music. And yes, it is Lufia III because it's the sequel to Lufia 1. If you read the intro during this game, it tells of the 2nd game, then the first, then how this one takes place 100 years after it. Which is when the Sinistrals appear.
I haven't played Lufia 1 or 2. But from the looks of The Legend Returns, which I've played and beaten, it looks like a great story and they should definitely remake it! ^^
My first and favorite Lufia game. >w< I will never forget the way this game captured my heart.

This game had a unique battle system. I want to play it so badly, but I can't yet. Boo. :[

@HaganeSteel
I actually like TLR's battle system better than Lufia II's battle system.

@SinReVi Me too! I think I like TLR on the whole more than Lufia II, tbh.

@HaganeSteel
Well, my order is Lufia II/Lufia DS > Lufia TLR > Lufia I > Lufia RoL

@HaganeSteel Personally,.I'd like it more if the dialogue didn't appear to be written by a fifth-grader. But that's just me.

There is no Lufia III, only the Legend Returns.
