  • This is a crank video, well done I split my sides laughing at this lmfao

  • MORON!!!!

  • Wow... CB can talk over 10 miles JUST!!! Ham radio can talk long path over 25 thousand. Thats why you and your buddies can yap to each other when you just over the road and ham radio operators talk all over the world and like the international space station.....try that on your 4 watts. Get some nice reading material on ham radio and study...then eat some brain food to increase you IQ so its actually being understood and then go for a license...then if you wish yap to your buddies with 1KW

  • Hehe...and my response was #73 !

  • Oh yayesss 5 watts plus 700 db equals 500000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Watts ERP....WHEEEERE DO AHHHH GIT MIIIINE??

    WA5PSE

  • HAM RADIO in the most are out dated in deed. such as CW, SSB, FM voice. I think what we need is requiring Cell phone companies to be emergency ready with mandatory back up power, etc.

  • 700 db gain LOL, some people posting here don't get the sarcasm.

  • Not sure if troll or just really dumb.

  • This guy suffers from small pee pee disorder so he posts this crap...

  • Ha Ha Ha....your really had me going for a minute. I was laughing so hard I threw up.....Oh my Gawd, that's so funny.....

Please, Please stay on the CB band. You're right, Ham Radio is awful. 40 channels is far superior to Billions of channels. Stay right where you are and enjoy your hobby.

Oh, Mercy Mercy Goodness Gracious sake's alive, we gonna backum on out oh here...

    we jes unkey....

  • None ya'll answered with what you run. ANYONE CAN BUY an appliance and plug it in. I've been doing this a long time. HeHeHe.......Any ya'll know how to set the bias on 2/ 3-500Z's? Just askin'..........I Might..........

  • Yep, good thing you are a CB'er on the CB bands. You are way to smart to be a Ham. Enjoy 11 Meters and CB radio..73, WA4AOS

  • Ohhh...I can also do slow-scan WITHOUT a computer. But I do have computers. They do slow-scan demod also. ALL JUNK, free or purchased cheap, and repaired by me. Windows XP rocks! So do Simpson 260 VOM's..............

  • To N5LRZ - Run the model # thru the FCC data base. If it's legal, it's legal. I can't afford an all band rig.To stay in the hobby, I run a Swan 500, a Drake T4X, 1938 National HRO, 1948 Hammarlund HQ-129X, Swan 250C for 6, Heathkit SB-220, home built 811 amp, and a truckload of converted "CB" rigs for 10, both SSB and AYEM. None purchased working. My only solid-state rigs are a Icom IC-229H, a Kenwood TS-430s, and a TS-600 Kenwood 6 meter rig. ALL JUNK, repaired by me. Whadda YOU run? '73 -

  • @211mlp

Ya gotta ask yourself this question: IF you cannot afford a hobby be it any hobby then ask yourself WHY the heck am I even BOTHERING to be in it IF I cannot do this hobby right and proper.

WAIT, save you your money and enter the hobby whatever it its at some point in time when you can engage it properly not half ass.

    N5LRZ

  • @211mlp

BUY NEW never ever used even if NEW means the low end of a line.

Lets just say that all my radios were bought by myself directly from a reputable retail dealer who got their inventory direct from the factory.

In auto terms I am the original owner of all my radios. And they all of the Yaesu Brand Name.

  • Too funny!!

  • If you guys think this is for real, then this guy is not the ignorant one here. Don't you get it? Duh.

  • Radio without having to have the Internet or send a Image over the air using a radio and a laptop for sstv (slow scan tv)

  • Chicken radio! Sad hams like less power to make a contact while cb users want more. Qrp oh well, I used to be one of those guys till I got my ham ticket.

I wanted my cb to walk and talk so I had a import radio tweaked and tuned kickin 80 watts barefoot but could only get 10miles now. With a make shift antenna on my ht can talk farther than that import radio....

Stop whining get a ham ticket and find out what you reapply can do with a simple radio

I love the fact I can send emails threw my r

  • @KF5FJJ

I have never myself advocated QRP as a daily practice when it comes to amateur. I have always stated and will always state that the 1500 watt should be sought even though it is not attainable at the time.

ALTHOUGH, some modes are done at less than 50 watts just because it is the convention to operate less....PSK example runs at about 30 or so watts MAX.

    N5LRZ

  • class c heheheh this is really funny, yeah class c is extra leeeneear ain't it ned recK?

  • @k4fx MAN YOU NEED TO LEARN SOMETHIN, CLASS C IS THE BETTER BRAND OF WATTS, YALLS HAME CLASS A IS JUNK, CLASS C CAN BLEED OVER CHANELS AND MAKE U KING OF THE FREQUENCYS UNLIKE CLASS A WHICH CANT BLEED OVER. ITS KINDA LIKE CLASS A IS DOLLAR STORE JUNK AND CLASS C IS SOMETHIN FROM A FANCY HIGH BROW UPPITY STORE LIKE TARGET.

  • @wagonmaster390

A troll by def is someone who says or does something for the sole purpose of getting a reaction, press the other person buttons.

Know that when I say something I do truly mean it. In other words I say what I mean and I mean what I say.

I kiss no ones azz other than he who signs my paycheck.

So when I say something know that I damn well mean it and I dont care what the other person thinks or desires.

Glad we got that all out in the open.

    N5LRZ

  • You dumb turd. The Ranger RHF-618 >>IS<< A HAM RADIO! 10 and 12 METERS! BAAHAHAHAHAHHAA..............ROFLMAO!!

  • @211mlp

In pure fact any legitimate full time Amateur Radio Op with a serious station runs a Kenwood, Yaesu, or Icom not a ranger. The SERIOUS amateur op on HF runs a radio that covers 160 thru 10 meters and a lot of them up to 6 meters or higher.

A Ranger is considered to be a CB import trash radio compared to true and valid amateur radios.

    N5LRZ

  • @N5LRZ By who's decision? YOU MADE THIS CALL........

  • @211mlp Sorry I wasn't clear - My post was aimed at cbradioloser and this video. No one else. '73

  • @211mlp no it aint cause its desined for cb. 10 and 12 are extra channels for us. its got different technotronics then ham radios do.

  • @211mlp

    No its a joke....

TRUE Amateur Radios are sold by Yaesu, Icom, and Kentwood with perhaps a not of the cap to Ten Tech. and cover 160 thru 50 mhz band at a bare minimum.

    N5LRZ

  • @211mlp

The frequencies may be but the radio is certainly NOT considered an Amateur Radio.in general/the vast majority....FACT...

    N5LRZ

  • Long time no see mr cbradioloser. Any problem with Your keyboard ?

  • Long time no see mr cbradioloser. Any problem with Your keyboard ?

  • @bastyon75 naw i just use fancy hi teck equipment now unlike hames who are still usin keyboard, hell i can talk into my dam phone an it types what i say.

  • I'd like to get one!

  • NICE CAKE! hAhA

  • How many people can you talk to with 5 watts of power?

  • @uber2dag The whole god damn world...

  • @breakerbroke23 Really? Because my cobra CB radio and 5 foot whip can only cover 5 miles at best. You must be thinking of your cellphone

  • @uber2dag ...Really !!!

My cobra 25 GTL on my 3 element beam talks to Florida, cali, mexico Canada (4 watts) all the time. My stock madison SSB/ AM Base talks all over the country and on SSB (12 watts) I have talked to Australia, England, France and all over THIS fine country of ours. Using either My Hy-Gain 5/8 ground plane or my 3 element beam. Lots of power is nice but its not a must. 11meters kicks ass!!!

  • @breakerbroke23

Per the FCC Rules and Regulations....

It is completely illegal to talk to anyone over...hmmmm 250 miles away from you. Completely ILLEGAL last time I looked.

But I am glad that you do not want to become a licensed Radio Amateur because you see in Amateur Radio we do NOT NOT NOT like people who break the FCC Rules.

    N5LRZ

    Amateur Extra Class License Holder.

  • @N5LRZ Wow....you really got me..

I now bow to you Raymond, Spoken like a true bloated arrogant fat white socially retarded baby boomer hammy ham. Again I bow to your almighty hamness

    Extra class and all.. 10-4

  • @N5LRZ yeah cause the channel 6 dudes that run 10000+ watt motor mauls give a crap about the fcc. the fcc is just jealous of cb'ers cause we got bigger radios!

  • @CBRADIOLOVER

If you will forward to me the details of such operations I would be more than glad to forward them to the FCC so they can bust those people for the use of illegal equipment--which of course will be seized and serious fines levied.

We Amateurs laugh our ass off at you CB people during the low point of the solar cycle. While your band is completely dead OUR 40, 80 and 160 meter bands are in prime shape while you are stuck in zippo land.

    N5LRZ

    Extra Class Op

  • @N5LRZ Mayn your a moron, the fcc has known about keydowns for years an aint done crap. yall self righteous hams dont realize the fcc dont care about radio no more, they care about cell phones an cable now i bet. Yall are jealouse of channel 6 with yalls 1500 weak ass brand a watts, cb'ers use class c which is the better brand cause if you cant bleed over channels your radio sucks. an channel 6 is worldwide 24/7, 50,000 watts dont lie.

  • @CBRADIOLOVER

I wonder what your face will look like one day when the FCC slaps you with a 10 thousand dollar fine PLUS impounding your equipment on top of that.

You see the FCC did just recently fine a radio retail business with a 7000.00 fine for selling outlaw radios.

KEEP IT UP....sooner or later all illegal acts come back to haunt ya.

  • @N5LRZ Oh let me guess, your a 20 WPM Extra......... The so called "elite" hams...

  • @TheZeke1974

No, but I am certified as having passed an official 13 wpm code test and was right at 19 wpm before crashing on the code copy. The FCC Dropped the code before I took the Extra Exam.

But as I am certified by formal testing at 13 wpm, the 20 wpm Extras do not seem to mind me too much since I do have a reasonable code skill.

And yes as an Extra with some official certified skill at CW I do consider myself superior to Extras with absolutely no tested code skill

    N5LRZ

  • @N5LRZ I dont know why so many hams feel superior to other hams all because of the CW. I took the test and passed the code at 5 WPM for the General but i dont make myself feel any more superior to the new hams that never took the code.. To me CW is just another mode like AM FM SSB and PSK 31.. Oh well.... I look at ham radio in a realist point of view and se it for what it really is... Its just a hobby...

  • @TheZeke1974

Because I am superior. Just as the 20 WPM certified people are superior to me. Just as YOU are superior as a 5 wpm certified to the no code people. Just as anyone with an Amateur License is superior to any other CB person (Amateurs have to pass written tests, CB people do not).

EVERYTHING in life is in pure fact a matter of ranking, superiority and inferiority.

  • @N5LRZ Superior in what way license ranking? Thats all that is superior Everyone has to take thier pants off to shit. No one is better than anyone else. Maybe in ham tard land where most hams are dillusional about the real world. The ONLY TRUE ranking is in the military. BTW it looks like to me your just here to stir up shit....

  • @TheZeke...

    It is called incentive licensing....

The higher the license class the greater the benefits. The lower the license class the lower the benefits.

Any license holder that had to pass a higher degree of difficulty to achieve that license will always be superior to someone who did not have to meed those higher requirements, even within the same license class.

    This is absolute fact.....

    N5LRZ

  • @TheZeke1974

If you want to see proof of superiority, tell most Extra Class Old School License Holders that you are a no code Extra and just watch how fast they deal you out of their conversation.

I have seen this many many times when a person mentioned he was a no code person.

So yes there is an unofficial internal social structure. Just as in real life there is an existing social structure in every society.

    Equality does not exist.

    N5LRZ

    N5LRZ

  • @N5LRZ And this smugness is why ham radio is dying. This day in age no one wants to put up with the "holier than thou mentaility" coming form some jerk ham who "thinks" he is better than everyone else.

I passed at "only" 5 WPM but thats NOT my problem thats the FCCs fault but if someone treats me like crap because of the test then piss on them! They are NOT worth my bother....

  • @TheZeke1974

Death of Ham: the numbers per the FCC prove otherwise. Well at least according to the FCC who issues the licenses.

I am not better than EVERYONE else. The 20 wpm Extra is better than myself. I am equal via official testing to 13 wpm verified Extras. I am above the remainder of the extras. But I am not superior to EVERYONE.

Your license class and call sign to see your official license class.....

    N5LRZ

  • @N5LRZ WHOD WANNA TALK TO AN OLD SCHOOL EXTRA CLASS? YOU COULDNT PROBLY TALK TO SOME OF EM BECAUSE SOME OF EM DONT USE DEODERANT AN YOU WOULDNT WANNA GO IN 20 MILES OF THEM.

  • @N5LRZ Wow, in reading the message stream this is clearly a disappointment. Please ask yourself why it is that people of white euro culture feel compelled to measure themselves this way. I am not looking to get you to write a terse note to me, just asking you to carefully reflect on what you are thinking.

  • @BreakChannel23

I site only pure facts not opinion. A thing is in pure absolute fact what it is in pure absolute fact.

I would like the FCC (not holding my breath) to somehow come up with a way to effectively contact all licensed amateurs on a yearly basis. Failure to reply would result in immediate classification of deleted. That way we could get rid of the dead wood much much faster.

BUT it looks like the technology for this poll is neither easy nor cheap.

    N5LRZ

  • @CBRADIOLOVER

Easy, I know that I am superior to you in the field of radio just as everyone with a valid amateur radio license also is superior.

Kind of like the college graduate will always be superior to someone who did not get past the 10th grade.

Official Certification means a lot in this world.

    N5LRZ

  • @breakerbroke23

    Well first off....

IF you are in the US or its territory governed by the FCC then you statements just made you an ILLEGAL operator. And even IF the FCC does not enforce their rules that still does not make you LEGAL.

CB people are expressly forbidden to talk to people overseas in the FCC Rules and Regs last time I looked.

To talk overseas you need a VALID Amateur Radio license as issued by the FCC after passing the required written testing.

    N5LRZ

  • @N5LRZ SCREW OFF TROLL>>>>>I will talk to anyone I want to.. FUCK OFF FCC..

    AND TROLLS like YOU

  • @breakerbroke23

I truly do not think that you should be spelling out the whole F word.

A troll by deff is a person who states something for the singular purpose to jerk someones chain.

Know that I mean what I say and I say what I mean.

If you do not like what I state that would of course be your problem, not mine.

    N5LRZ

  • @breakerbroke23

that may be true but you can only do it when the skip is rolling ham can do it any time they want

  • @breakerbroke....

This is normal and to be expected regardless of power in so far as line of sight is concerned. The line of sight of any antenna in miles is equal to the square root of twice the height of the antenna above ground.

Thus if you consider the top of your trunk to be 5 feet the the line of sight of transmission to radio horizon is going the be the square root of 10 (2 x 5). Without doing the sq root thing you can easily see that effective range is short.

    N5LRZ

  • @N5LRZ I call bullshit since i can talk 40 miles on my mobile antanna on my pickup.

  • @CBRADIOLOVER

VHF and UHF are NOT of the 27 Mhz band. HF bands have different transmission behaviors.

You wee this is why I am superior to you. I have been educated via testing requirements on the various bands, modes and atmospheric conditions.. YOU on the other hand have obviously NOT...

Might I suggest you get an ARRL Handbook and study up on the true facts of radio operation.

    N5LRZ

  • @uber2dag

IF you are talking about the digital modes and the low power digital modes in particular you can work the world on a daily basis. BUT thay would mean you have to have at the very least a General Class Amateur Radio License and the hardware to link your computer to your radio to transmit the tones generated by the computer.

BUT IF you are talking about voice mode then you are not going to be talking to one hell of a lot of people even if the sun spot cycle is at its max.

    N5LRZ

  • @N5LRZ I CALL BULLSHIT CAUSE US CBERS RADIOS GOT MORE DOLBY THEN HAME DOES. PLUS OUR NEW RADIOS I HERED FROM MY BUDDY JOEL USE MAGNETRONIC WAVES INSTEAD OF ELECTROMAGNATIC ONES LIKE YALL HAMES USE, YALL ARE OUTDATED FROM WHAT I HERED.

  • @CBRADIOLOVER

Do not look now but your gross ignorance is showing.

Might I suggest you get the ARRL Handbook and the ARRL ANTENNA Handbook and STUDY both of them.

And by the way digital modes do not even use phone but rather the tones generated by a computer being transmitted by the radio and the sound card(s) in the computer to decode the received tones.

  • Respond to this video...

    @dag....

    Your ignorance is showing...

Get the ARRL Handbook and the ARRL Antenna Book and STUDY THEM to eliminate your gross ignorance.

    N5LRZ

  • @CBRADIOLOVER

FYI so you do not show your gross ignorance any farther, there are very very very few Amateurs who use AM in the HF Bands. SSB is the huge predominate mode in the HF bands. AM users who still use AM with carrier are considered the Freaks.

  • @CBRADIOLOVER

Pssst so you know, The FCC has disallowed enhanced SSB transmissions. Several amateurs have been warned and threatened with harsh financial fines for said enhanced transmissions.

Get a copy of the ARRL Handbook and inform yourself as to the true facts of radio waves and how they travel .

    N5LRZ

  • @N5LRZ Luckily I do have a General ticket, and can reach across the Atlantic with less than a watt.

My thing is, I've cleared over 100 miles from my car on simplex FM. The CB radio with three times the antenna running twice the power barely made it out of the city, so I'm still stumped as to why CB's are better.

  • @uber2dag apparently you aint heard of channel 6.

  • @CBRADIOLOVER Listening to it now actually, there's no one on there, just like the rest of the channels here in Pittsburgh.

  • @uber2dag I listen to it in minneapolis and theres nothing there, Proud to be a ham

    KD0PLC

  • @uber2dag

    Ya got the wrong person....

I propose that Amateur Radio is superior not inferior to CB Service.

  • @uber2dag

There is your problem. You said it yourself. You live in a city. In order to get a true benefit from any kind of antenna there must be no compromise at all. Dipoles must be monobanders and of full length and at least (if at all possible) over a quarter wave length in height. Big beams up at least 40 feet help as well.

City dwellers should stick to VHF or UHF unless they have permitted access to a roof of a tall building for a good full size beam.

  • @uber2dag

That 100 miles might have been the benefit of an temperature related atmospheric ducting that was going on at the time. Ducting happens a lot to repeaters at certain times of the year.

CB is good for what it is good for but not as people think it is. People just like to think it is better. Its a start but ONLY a starting point.

A 2 meter signal going thru a very very tall repeater antenna is better than CB.

  • THATS A BIG RADIO
